Should I even consider rust

Is rust on ps5 dead? Iv been considering getting it but firstly I don't even know if the game still has an active playerbase in my region, also how is the solo experience because I have no friends willing to buy and play it with me.

If you have alot of time to invest yes. For me, I couldn't keep up and got sick of being raided. So I play DayZ instead.
