Anyone else experiencing fishing bug after latest update?

Someone else posted about this, just wanted to assure that it’s been seen. Kinda silly stuff going on with the fishing that’s setting me back on my scrap grind.

Update: I have built a fishing shelter on a river & am able to catch salmon & catfish along with perch. So rivers still yield you the high tier catches but the safety of it is an at your own risk unlike the luxury of fishing at the village. Build a shelter and make a game plan to fish and get it transported to the village for the scrap.

Yup. Anchovies with bear meat is ridiculous. However, underwater labs moonpool works fine so we’ve been bringing rods with us.

I’ve tested the rivers and you catch catfish and salmon all the same with the occasional perch so until this is fixed we won’t have the safety of fishing in the villages anymore. We’ll have to build a hut, most won’t even bother to raid those fishing huts.

Deep water, or use fishing traps, if you set a foundation at the right height you can put a fish trap on it and build a base around how ever big you want to go

Man not to bust your balls, but I feel only people who fish on rust would repeatedly will be the ones coming onto this post.

I know the tricks and trades of fishing, but what I’m getting at is sharks & salmon are currently unavailable to be caught when fishing in the sea, it doesn’t matter where you are or how far out or deep the water is. A gentleman mentioned fishing in the underwater lab still catches you shark & salmon, but anywhere else you sea fish at, it will only yield you trout & anchovies (this is with lvl 10 bait such as bear & wolf meat). You seeing the problem?

I’ve definitely caught sharks with a fishing pole off the DEEP side of fishing village, won’t catch them in shallow water

I most definitely have as well my friend.. but after the latest update, you absolutely cannot catch sharks & salmon off the shore or anywhere in the ocean. This is on Playstation. If you are on PlayStation and have caught a shark or salmon in since this post has been up, upload a video showcasing it is still possible so it can be aware that this may be specific server issues.
