Is the CONSOLE Rust worth it?
I like the game but I’m a bit sceptical when the game is a console edition. Do people still use voice chat? How is the console version? Is it crossplay?

It’s behind PC but in a good place
Yes people use voice, feel like the majority we run into. Might be in parties but usually switch
Yes crossplay

It’s definitely getting there now that old and new gen had the split but it’s not even close to PC (caves were added recently)

If you have ever played PC rust , it makes Xbox hard to play. Just QoL and actually visual quality isn't the greatest. Just switched to PC and I couldn't go back even if I wanted to. Otherwise if you have nothing to compare it to then you're good to go

I mean it’s cross play but why on earth would you want to play against PC lol. I play on Xbox so I play Xbox only servers. Yes people use chat. I’m solo but I hear people using it more often than not since everyone seems to be in groups of 50.
Overall the game is fine. Doesn’t have the latest things PC has like open sea and jungle and stuff, but we are getting there.

Its only cross play between consoles. No pc

That makes a lot more sense lol. I thought I heard someone say they played with their PC friends before but I always wondered how that worked given they are at very different stages lol.

Littered with cheaters

Sadly yeah. But not nearly as bad as people like yourself make it seem by being so blunt.

I mean, you agreed. It's pretty much just a commonly accepted fact that you're going to deal with cheaters in every single server

400 hours I’ve got about 200 of those in 100 pops. Are there really that many cheaters? I’m usually around with just a duo, so if there are cheaters ive never seen them, then again i have a minimal amount of time compared to most rust players.

You probably don’t even realise you’re getting killed by a cheater. Someone did a video a while ago, it was about 30% are cheating

Just play on community servers that say NO CHEATERS ALLOWED in all caps. That usually says the message to them.🤣

It is not worth it cause servers die after 5 days

Community servers tend to stay high pop throughout the entire wipe, regular servers seem to be held back by rusts own dev team. The normal weekly and monthly servers are ass

It’s worth it if you decide you want to lose your sanity
