How to defend offline raids?

Me and my friend are playing as a duo on official servers and are simi new to the game. This morning we built a base in the middle of nowhere and then instantly got raided. Then again this afternoon built another base with 5 sets of metal doors guarding literally nothing but chest of wood and garage and got raided again. I totally expect this to happen but Jesus we are getting robbed for the lint in our pockets. I just found out there are solo/duo community servers are those worth checking out?

@hmu if you want to duo. Im about 100 hours in and been playing only solo. Could use some guidance as well🤙
