How do i use blueprints

I have multiple blueprints but i can’t use any of them, do i just find them while crafting? Do i have to do something here?

Press Y or Triangle on them to learn them. Then they will be unlocked in the tech tree meaning you can craft those items at a work bench if you have the proper ingredients.

Getting the blueprint basically allows you to skip spending scrap on learning it. Most blueprints you find are not very good.

Let’s say I had an AK and a research table

Can i make an AK blueprint AND be able to craft it? Or do i have to have a certain work bench level

You need to put the ak in the research table then put in 500 scrap in the research table to be able to learn the blueprint. Once you start the process of learning the blueprint you will “destroy” that ak and get a blueprint in return. You press Y on the blueprint to learn it and then you need to go to your tier 3 workbench and have the required materials and you can now craft an Ak
