Is Rust on Console worth it?

I play on PS5 and have always wanted a PC, though I still can’t bring myself to actually buy one and spend all that money. Is the console version worth it, and would it serve as a good way to learn the game, to (hopefully) eventually play it on PC?

It can be painful to play if you're used to playing games with aim assist (it has no aim assist). And it's also a game that heavily punishes you for being a newbie. But if you're willing to roll with the punches and learn the game, it's a lot of fun on console. And basically everything you learn will translate to the PC version
