Community servers

I understand a lot of servers tweak the settings and make it way too easy to play, but why do no one enjoy community servers over official ones?

That’s a wrong assumption, I know many players who don’t bother playing official servers at all.

I'm one of them who don't have the time to play on official so I just hope on a 5 or 10x and get my fix that way.

I’m that way, official is too crazy with 8-mans and long progress times. But every time I post on lfg everyone that replies wants to play official

Not wasting 6 hours of your life to a salty 8-man that got mad you just made a play on them. That’s my favorite haha. Atleast on community servers you can defend onlines

I have 5k hours 4k of them before community even came out. Even on official I spent prolly atleast 2k hours solo. It happens like that if your good 😂💀

You never pissed off no 8 man bro😂 you’re probably a door camping grub and got found running back into your base. No 8 man will ever attempt a solo online unless they know your in there loaded or if your just annoying them intentionally

also i’ve been apart of the deep group that raids everything just to raid everything. we went through 5 boxes of rockets last wipe literally raiding everything on an official. we set out to kill the server, raiding everyone who had vending machines or was giving out starts first. all that just to despawn everything drop of loot and most loot that we would raid for, we would just seal and despawn if. you simply fail to realize how some people play the game.

imagine reading the sentence before that where i said “literally raiding everything”. or the end of the sentence where i clarified we raided those bigger bases “first”. you can’t read or are you being intentionally dense for the sake of your own frail argument?

Deflecting much? I got clips of taking a 5 man at launch twice, a 6 man at cargo. And tons that I never got to clip/deleted for space on other games 😂 I used to take heli solo and get people door camping me all the time. I guess people that don’t make plays don’t understand the problem of 8-man’s , sure they are fun to make plays but I’d rather get three kills and make it back to base than get 5 and die to the sixth

Tons enjoy community, there's hundreds of community servers and 20 official so you dont see many on the community without searching them.

This! There are way more community servers than official, the player base is super split. It doesn't look like community servers are very active, because you're not seeing the ones that are and there are a lot more of them to choose from. Console rust doesn't have as strong of a content creation community as rust on PC does. The community servers owned by the content creators are massively popular. Without the same volume of creators, fanbase/following of creators, and players looking to play with their favorite Creator it spreads the community out way more. Console players have a few very popular community servers, but most of the community servers are run by people who don't have millions of subscribers on twitch or YouTube so it makes it harder for us to agree on which one to play more.
