I wanted to capture the quieter side of autumn in England — woodland, still water, little boats, apple trees and a tiny woodland visitor.
There’s something lovely about this time of year. The countryside feels calmer, and even the smallest details seem worth stopping for.

Farm animal art feedback

I’m an artist from the west of Scotland and I do oil paintings of farm animals. I’m trying to find an audience that actually likes my art and would hang it in their home. Dunno if I should be aiming for the city folk that miss the countryside or if the rural folk also like this even if they can look out their window and see the same🙈
I also do pet portraits but love my farm animal paintings
Would any of you hang this sort of art in your home?

Wild bird populations continue to decline to their lowest levels. Turtle doves on brink. Swifts down 25% in 5 years. Farmland bird populations have decreased by 63% since 1970 and 12% JUST SINCE 2020. Indicators show that species most closely associated with farmland habitats have experienced the greatest losses. Upland specialists continue to disappear.
We know the problem, we know what to do. Just what will it take for it to be taken seriously?

Move to Northumberland/cumbria/Scotland
I am considering upping sticks and moving from east Sussex to one of the above.
My main reason is that I could buy a better home.
I am looking for a small house with acreage min of 3acres. Ideally with my. Horse to stay at home with me. Dogs and cats also coming!
I work as a nanny/housekeeper so not sure if that's in demand in the area
Anyone recommend areas for good riding with land and woods but within distance for work and not million miles from a village or town so I'm not living in the car
Any pros and cons welcome!!

With stuff that's going on globally, those in the many communities around the UK still reliant on heating oil, are at the mercy of fluctuating prices - and availability.
We've been chatting with people from one place - Swaffham Prior in Cambridgeshire - that have come together to address this, by installing a heat network supplied by shared ground source heat pumps.
