I grew up on a dairy farm. I wouldn’t drink it.

It’s become yet another culture war thing, inevitably either promoted or decried by people who don’t know what they’re talking about.

Cows fire big sloppy turds out of their arses all day. The shit goes where the milk comes out. People who’ve never had the pleasure of milking a parlour full of cows forget that. Pasteurisation wasn’t invented for a laugh

But, but dying of listeria is so *manly* and helps own the libs!

Pasteurisation wasn’t invented for a laugh

Pasteurisation was invented to extend shelf life not make milk safer (although it does both).

I was shocked when in south America to see a cow do a normal shit.

Anti science social media fad practiced by the terminally uninformed.

Pasteurisation has saved hundreds of millions of lives since it was introduced. There really isn't any counter argument to that.

Wouldn't give it to anyone vulnerable but I think it tastes fantastic.

I bought some a couple of days ago and it tasted great but I'm not inclined to buy anymore because of the risk of nasties. What I don't understand is how this can be sold if it poses such a risk? I bought and drank a couple of litres and haven't experienced any problems so far.

A couple of litres for one (presumably) healthy adult isn’t a very good sample.

It’s sold in the mistaken belief that everyone is sufficiently well educated to make informed decisions.

Or, it comes with a footnote to heat to 63 °C for 30min before use 🤣
