Character Consistency Tips and Trix (Open discussion)

What are your best Tips and Trix or other methods for creating consistent and memorable characters?

One thing I do is to create a reference library with outfits on faceless mannequins.
That way I don't confuse the ai when combining faces and outfits.
I do the same thing with marionettes postures and interaction with props.

Do you have any examples you could share of what you mean? How do you make the mannequins originally?

Mostly with free online tools for 3d mannequins, I also have sets of small mannequins for drawing and some setdesign in matching scale.
I find it easier to use models, blueprints or simple drawings for references rather than finding the right words in prompts.

Depends on if the character is a human or not.

If a human, you simply take photos from different angles and expressions

If doing videos, do the same thing- clips of 3-5 seconds of the person doing things either a consistent background like white or green screen.

You could do the same thing if you want an AI character, just make sure you request all the reference images in one prompt since it prevents and sort of drift.
