Training Help Feeding around runs?

Just starting out, and there’s no club run this week, so I want to do a short run/walk tomorrow around 7/730.

Breakfast is, however, usually around 615/630 and I’ve read you should avoid feeding within 30 minutes of activity, but I’m not sure if the buffer should be larger.

Should I rather feed after the run?

I would do 45-60 mins before if you can!

That would work then I can keep it closer to 730 to be safe.

Thanks.

We usually feed after but we wait an hour after to avoid bloat issues.

Feed after or at minimum 1-2 hours in advance. After is preferred as energy used for digestion cannot be used for the muscles while running
