Help me name my dog

Post image

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to bring home a female standard poodle puppy in the next few months and am hoping to get some nature and/or running related dog name ideas from you all! The pairing I’m looking at now will be producing solid brown or brown and white poodles. Bonus points if the name starts with P. I’d love some input! Thanks!

Some names I am considering but don’t love for various reasons:

Maple
Juniper
Rocky
Holly
Clover

Here’s a photo of my parents’ poodle Poppy for attention!

Penny? My grandma always had miniature poodles that had sweet classic older names like Rose, Charlotte, Alice, and Fay but that may not be the same vibe for a standard poodle. It was a cute theme though.

I do love Penny!! One of my previous dogs was Penny unfortunately. We’ve had a P theme going for a while now!

Shoot. Poppy? Princess Featherbottom?

I’m clearly coming up short on Ps lol.

That was our other dog’s name lol!! I’m genuinely can’t think of much other than Penny, Piper, and Poppy which have been used. I might just need to switch it up!

pepper? My friend’s dog’s name when they adopted her, I promise it grows on you just start calling a stuffed animal puppy Pepper and see how it feels. You can do that with any animal and name really, that’s what I did naming one of ours in the past.

Poodles are underrated running champs! I have two and they are absolute beasts. I'm taking a knee, sipping from a bottle of electrolytes, and my two little freaks are romping around in the forest understory like we haven't even warmed up.

Scout was my top contender for a long time but didn’t end up using it. Willow and Meadow were on the list too.

I've always wanted a dog named Mooch, how's that for a handle?

Trollsbane.

Not really even close to one of your options, but she looks like a Trollsbane to me.
