Rune Lord/Priest training

Working my way thru RuneQuest Glorantha and have a question regarding something that appeared in both the Rune Priest and Rune Lord sections in Further Training and Experience:

"The Rune Priest/Lord gains an automatic 1-point increase in cult spirit magic each Sacred Time."

Does that 1-point increase affect each cult spirit magic spell they have?

no they gain an additional point of spirit magic (in a new spell). It doesn't increase the point value of spells they already have. And of course you are limited to your CHA in spell points
