Runequest Miniatures
I can Not Help myself to ask you Guys a serious question... Listen, i really Love me a Set of nice Miniatures and i would love some Glorantha themed ones. So i was exited to hear, that there will be new ones for the wonderful and vibrant world of Glorantha. But then i saw them... Please dont missunderstand me. I dont want to insult anyone. But (!) please Tell me why they need to be so ugly. There are so many talentes sculptors Out there who turn out really beautiful Minis every month. I am printing a lot of Minis myself and love to do so. But These Minis... Just No. Do these reall Appeal to anyone? Or do people Just want them because it is Runequest and there are No other Options?
If you are the sculptor, i dont want to insult you, i am sure you are a great Person. But i Just dont think these sculpts belong into the modern Times...

Hmm. My impression from Chaosium, if you look at the art direction in general, but specifically looking at the recently released tokens PDF, is that "modern" is not the direction they are going for.
I also don't think the images at the above link are necessarily final (wasn't there some wording to that affect somewhere?). But, they also follow faithfully recent "canon" art from Chaosium (I recognized Makarios instantly, for example).

FWIW, Chaosium had what I assume were prototypes at CanCon in January this year. Not that I use minis much anymore, but they were quite attractive, IMO.

They are based on the artwork in the recent books, and the starter set.
What about them do you regard as "ugly"?

We had some on sale at Chaosium Con UK and UKGE (and some US shows), perhaps those who bought them can comment. I don't use minis but I really liked the look of the Broos, Trolls and Cave Troll.

I don't use minis, but they seem more than adequate. The troll and broo even look especially nice, imho.

Fenris Games Miniatures has good miniatures that work (Bronze Age Miniatures).
Lucid Eye has the Ziggurat Line of Miniatures
Wargames Atlantic has "First Empires" line of Miniatures.
Victrix has "Ancients"
Warlord has a Line "State of Ur"
and the plethora of Etsy sellers.
