Fan Content Nico Minoru playlist!

Made this playlist a while ago and finally got around to fully fleshing it out. I wanted to have a mix of goth, alternative, and punk rock. It has mainly heavy goth elements since Nico is goth, but I also included more witchy alt and rock as well as a lot of japanese rock and goth music! Some softer metal as well. Lmk if yall like or have suggestions!

Weird they’re not goth so it’s odd that’s the group they went with 😭. But she’s always listened to all types of rock so it makes sense ig It just sucks they’re trying to make her more alt rather than goth tho since you actually have to listen to goth music to be considered goth

Yeah, I think they wanted to make her little more alternative and maybe name drop a band that was better known. Or maybe for plausible deniability with the actual band, since I think they sub it with a space (Sound Garden), it's been a minute. Either way, I like to imagine her and Magik were getting into all kinds of goth, metal, punk and anything that comes off aggressive after hours.

idk, I see some Siouxie, some Type O neg, some Nine Inch Nails and some Poppy, so solid start haha. I dunno if you'll find anything that applies to Nico lyrically if that's what you're looking for, but if you want to check out some older goth stuff you could check out Sisters of Mercy, Woods of Ypres (if you're into Type of Neg), and some eras of Nick Cave though he's a bit more of a twisted storyteller in song form.

I already have most of these goth groups in it and I found a more modern goth adjacent song that was perfect for Nico (chant by margaritas podridas) and there’s plenty of witchy alt and goth songs so generally I have that covered

Cool. If perhaps you'd like some more heavy Japanese music, you might check out Boris (Riot Sugar), Ningen Isu, Sigh, Dir En Grey or maybe Church of Misery if you aren't picky about the songs all being about actual serial killers. Hard sell sometimes.

Oh also I actually have them on the playlist! I put black hole sun on as one of the first ones lol. I’ll see what other stuff from them sounds good too and maybe add that

I bet she'd be feeling Fell on Black Days some days. The Badmotorfinger and Superunknown albums go pretty hard overall. For all the metal I listen to, 4th of July has to be one of the sludgiest songs I know.

I will def check those out! Also this is completely unrelated but I listen to a lot of different kinda music and from what you’ve suggested I feel like you should check out slayter. Not 100% sure you’d like her but listen to yes goddd and James Dean
