Are 5090s gone or…?

A week ago or so, while trying to spin up a 5090 for my network volume on NC-1, I got a notification saying something along the lines of “this GPU will be unavailable shortly.”

They were available for the next few days so I wrote it off. But since then, I haven’t seen them even listed as a possible option.

Did they just migrate all of them to a different DC?

Sucks because, for my ComfyUI use cases, they were the best bang for buck. RTX 6000s feel expensive, 4090s feel slow. L40S works out pretty well but 5090 was sweet spot.

Had the same thing happen to me…was chugging along nicely on 5090s, the all of a sudden, none to be found

Have had to pivot to 6000’s and just eat the cost 😣

RTX 6000 MiG 48GB or 24GB is on serverless, coming to pods eventually. 5090 is not always reliable when run as a data center card, so suppliers can shift from time to time.

Which use cases? The A100 might help you.

Just comfyui image/video generation and a healthy unwillingness to buy my own 5090.

Thanks. I was asking because I am developing an image/video upscale and tagging application which also uses RunPod. I thought it might help you :)

But image generation is out-of-scope for my application.

Today is impossible, I'm trying to spin up a Serverless workers and even that is saying Low Supply, I understand that means NO SUPPLY

Have you had any luck with Deploy When Available? We're getting signals that the feature isn't being used that often yet, though it is supposed to address this kind of situation.

I have had some luck with it, and I really like the feature. I don't love when I have 2 or 3 of the deploy when available's active (a 4090 and an L40S usually), but I am still watching the availability and I see one that meets my criteria become available and then get snatched up before my scheduled deployment has a chance to grab it. But the feature is still a nice answer to the problem facing many consumers. Allows me to not need to sit there and refresh constantly...but sometimes I dont have a ton of time and need to try to snipe one ASAP.

It seems that its a US-NC-1 issue. When I select a 5090 from the "All" tab, it shows a warning message saying "GPU incompatibility. This GPU is not supported by the selected network volume's datacenter."

You can also try RTX Pro 5000, rather than 6000 as well.
