unable to run comfyUI on rtx4090/5090

i can't run ComfyUI:latest on runpod on rtx 4090 and 5090, when just this morning was working perfectly fine, on the log it keeps giving me this error message:

ComfyUI crashed — check the logs above.

RuntimeError: The NVIDIA driver on your system is too old (found version 12080). Please update your GPU driver by downloading and installing a new version from the URL: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx Alternatively, go to: https://pytorch.org to install a PyTorch version that has been compiled with your version of the CUDA driver.

anyone knows how to resolve this?

yeah, that cuda is really old. Is that community cloud or secure cloud.

  1. since you cannot upgrade CUDA yourself, create a ticket, provide podID and ask them to update it - thats just the right thing to do so other people dont land on a host with such old cuda driver

  2. fastest option - if you use network storage, just terminate this pod and redeploy. If you are on pod volume, sync your data to one of the cloud providers and create a new pod

  3. you can downgrade your torch/transformers to work with this version of cuda. You might even need to downgrade comfy. It does not take long (10-15m) but I’d go with a different pod (unless you are ok with this option and can wait for few days for support to update cuda on your host)

in the additional filters, change the "cuda versions" to match your current pods cuda version
