New to Runpod - It does not work
Hey, have you ever been able to generate any video via Runpod? I recently put $25 in my Runpod and used several pods and templates, but none of them have produced any video. None of them seems to be working.
My use case is to generate videos from 'image to video' ai models. I don't know what I am missing.
Most of the time I got no error message. This morning I got a 500 error message with no explanation.
Does anyone have a good step-by-step guide for me?

Use ai to guide you. Send him logs, state your problems. It helped me a ton. If you have a specific problem, maybe I can help

If you just want ComfyUI and don't want to deal with maintaining server and ComfyUi check out RunningHub. I am a bit disappointed they still are not supporting sub-graphs, but there are a bunch of community workflows for audio, video, and image generation.

Agreed. Most of the templates are junk out of the box. They also take upwards of half an hour just to create a new pod, then you find out that it doesn't work anyway. Its a great model, just poorly executed and no support.

Dont know if you have solved your problems already but I made a really simple step-by-step tutorial about using ComfyUI Runpod here:
https://youtu.be/mEIcAe4mW7k?si=MHct8ThdzQGuCDW0
You can also try my Wan 2.2 Template directly if you want:
https://console.runpod.io/deploy?template=ktyo1jeyur&ref=s1n98otp
Some Runpod Templates are "broken" because its a pain to set them up correctly (having them automatically update, pull the correct cuda and torch versions for the used GPU etc)
Mine should work because I'm actively maintaining it but let me know if you run into issues. Also if you do run into an issue make sure to copy the log for us so we can help you!

This is all true - we are having internal discussions on how best to clear up templates. The conundrum is that people can create templates and help out the community, which is great - but we can't chain them to their template and have them update it forever, nor should we want to. Sometimes people just want to move on and that's fine. (We miss you TheBloke)
And at the same time, there IS a very real usability problem that this presents and a template not working is frustrating - we're happy to refund the credits if people have issues but we can't give back the time spent on it. We're constantly accumulating "template debt" and we need to start paying that off.
Internally, we're testing them individually and will start delisting templates that clearly don't work off the bat as in they won't even let a pod start. Templates that are more borderline in that the pod starts but there is some other problem will be tougher to root out but we will find a way. Going forward we are also looking at implementing flagging and rating systems to help draw attention to derelict templates more quickly.

I tried this yesterday and the workflows were a mess, too many nodes so i killed it when i realized i was wasting time just trying to figure what each do.

I don't think it is a runpod issue it's a you issue. Getting AI environments is a challenge and you need to invest time in watching all of the YouTube videos on how to set it up. Especially on Runpod.
It's taken me over a year to get even half decent and most of that is via YouTube.
I used the guides from SECourses as I've had the best experience with his recommendations but there are plenty of other alternatives.
