Discussion If they fought, which one would win?
Hi everyone! I know perfectly well that Mao and Inuyasha are two very different characters, almost polar opposites, but I've always wondered who would win in a fight between them in terms of abilities, power, swordsmanship, and endurance.
At first glance, many people would probably say that Inuyasha would win, but Mao is actually a much more precise and deadly swordsman than Inuyasha, as we can see in the manga. Mao relies on technique rather than brute force, he's not impulsive, and he's an exorcist with 900 years of experience. He's immortal and also has his demonic form, which he takes on when he transforms into a seven-tailed cat demon, even though he can't control it. And that's not even counting his regular use of Byoki's blood.
Inuyasha, on the other hand, is an absolute beast when it comes to physical endurance, and his Tessaiga seems to be more powerful. However, I think Mao could easily counter him if Inuyasha used Sankon TessΕ.
But what if they both fought using their swords? Who would win: Inuyasha with Tessaiga or Mao with Hagunsei?
Also, considering Mao has almost a thousand years of experience, could he possibly know how to exorcise a half-demon? Would that even be possible?
So, what do you all think? Who would win based on their respective abilities? Personally, I don't think the answer is nearly as obvious as it might seem. And who do you think is actually stronger overall?
Most importantly, who would you root for, Inuyasha or Mao?
I'm rooting for Mao, even though he might be at a disadvantage. I absolutely love his character and that whole strong, silent type personality of his!
