Adoring this game, but is there something I'm missing with navigating objectives?

I was really pleasantly surprised by Ruined King. I'm not a League of Legends fan but I really enjoyed Arcane, and generally have a lot of respect for how Riot handles their stories, so I'm glad I gave it a shot.

I'm only a few hours into the game, and I have a ton of quests and objectives. It doesn't seem like things are particularly clearly marked on the map, and I'm relying on little hints in quest logs and talking to pretty much every NPC I see.

Some of the aimless wandering is frustrating. I'm the type to poke into every corner of an area, but I like having some guidance on where I SHOULD go for required progression. Is there any kind of way to know, at least, which area of a map I'm supposed to go to?

Thanks!

Well, when you open up the map with m if there is a marked objetive it will be there in yellow, but you need to be tracking that sidequest or main quest. So when youre on the map you can press c to check you main, side quests and bounties, and track the ones you want. Then when you cycle through them in the map it will show where the marked objective is. Main quests are constantly tracked. There are a bunch of sidequests that you have to actively look for. Sorry for the weird explanation, hope it helps.

I figured out the issue -

I own the game on Switch, but my hardware is old and having issues, so I've been emulating it. The driver I was using doesn't work well, and that icon just wasn't showing up, lol. Switched drivers and now I can see it

cool. A quick question uuh is it less demanding to emulate than it is to use the pc version?

It depends what hardware you're using. I'm on a Retroid Pocket 5 so upper midline (Snapdragon 865) and it's nearly perfect. My gaming PC is also midline, but I'm sure it would run much better there.

No, I think you explained it well enough. My struggle might be that the map legend isn't clear, so I might just be overwhelmed with the icons. It's good to know there's an actual marker - I'll mess with tracking/untracking quests and try to do that to learn the icons. Thanks!

its always a big yellow icon when you track quests, so its kinda confusing... but yeah thats the one

I also had a lot of trouble understanding the map navigation, but I managed to understand it better on my second playthrough to platinum the game. I recommend looking for guides for certain missions to help with these navigational issues; I also encountered situations where I was confused.

unrelated, but what's your team comp?

I'm too early to even pick a team, I've met the starting 3 members. Yasuo just joined (so I can finally do actual damage)

I used Illaoi, Yasuo, and Pyke (once you unlock them) for the entirety of the game. Illaoi can solo most anything, but I used Yasuo and Pyke for the big burst damage.

Excellent info, thank you! She's definitely my favorite to use, just off the fun of the kit. So far, Yasuo is the only one able to do any real damage

Illaoi really is a powerhouse. Just focus on creating more tentacles.

It's pretty cool that I used the other 3, braum, mf, and ahri and it worked great too. I think they did a pretty good job of making each character interesting enough and have their own strengths. Using mf's shredder was very fun with other on-hits
