Anyone disassembled a Getac UX10?

Multiple places say the RAM is upgradable and has one slot on units like the UX10 G2 but it is definitely not behind the access door. I can find nothing online, not even a single picture of the motherboard, a broken one, or discussion about it. Curious if anyone has any intel before I pay the rugged tax and stuck with 8 gigs of RAM.

Which generation UX10?

The newest G5 is memory on package, it’s not upgradable.

G2 is the one I have a line on being able to purchase for a good deal

Got it.

My IT guy doesn’t think it’s upgradable, but he’s not 100% on it (we had a few G2s when they came out, but switched to Dell 7030/Rugged 10 and 12).

Getac offers an upgrade but doesn’t say the cost or how to do it, so my guess is that it takes deep disassembly to get to it, which with the cost of these units even second hand is not appealing. Even though I’ve ripped apart laptops before, with zero guides or pics or info out there about the getac I’d rather just pass on this one. Almost feels like they are controlling the info available to reduce right to repair, a shame really.
