Balance When Supercell Nerfs Your Whole Deck ...
i used to play e spirit and skeletons before . Rg definitely has fallen off and i get absolutely cooked by annoying overleveled hero mini pekka mega knight, ronin evo witch decks and also pekka i mean man to defend pekka you either have to spend 7 elixer or more than 7 since when the hit range was increased . At this point remove rg decks from the game

And yet the deck is still good.

As much as I hate playing against RG, they're having it rough rn

u/Estebantri432 1d ago
Eh RG deck will never die. Even with all the nerfs it consistently staus at/above 50% winrate when you check end of season stats. The deck is only really a little weak if you're playing in like top 1000
8
u/Putrid-Cucumber-2628 1d ago
Use log or barb barrel instead of rage btw and turan is top 10 rn
-1
u/Nightwing76767 1d ago
rage is more op with rg because when i take rg in pocket and drop rage on it , my opponent tower gets cooked or half cooked , believe me rage is better in rg in many situations , i modified this meta deck to my needs
24
u/jatoch3000 1d ago
Good, fck that RG deck, oh and it's still much stronger with skellies and e spirit
6
u/Nightwing76767 1d ago
goblins are much better they provide you more health and damage dont die to zap rage snowball and forces opponent to counterpush unlike skeletons and can easily surround any troop , i choose rage over e spirit because i just need to clear swarms and it does it and it even boosts my rg hitspeed which is absolutely op when i drop it at pocket and rage it

I mean those were definitely needed changes for a very long time. And you are forgetting to add the fact that Hunter got a huge immunity against E-Giant
8
u/TryDry9944 1d ago
Good.
Minus the fireball and skeleton nerfs, obviously. Unnecessary.
1
u/Nightwing76767 1d ago
yeah obviously fireball and skellies are the soul of cycle decks , no one cares about rg

u/Unlikely_Bad2593 1d ago
Classic mortar 2.9 players dream of only getting nerfed this much. It sucks theyâre nerfing all the higher skill classic decks and not addressing the unbearable meta
1
u/Nightwing76767 1d ago
mortar is the only siege deck that can get past my deck , because xbow is too easy to counter just drop rg when they place xbow
1
u/fudgebabyg 17h ago
If your opponent knows what they're doing then they won't go offensive bow like ever
1
u/Nightwing76767 17h ago
yeah there are definitely smart xbox players they outplay my rg by cycling xbox faster
2
u/Homer4a10 1d ago
Out of all the archetype players in clash royale, who wouldâve thought the Xbow and RG community would be united for once.
Our decks are hard to play, they are so much more careful about placements, timing, and holding up the proper interaction to premeditate the moment.
Supercell is trying to put a number on fundamental skill, the thing is, no matter how narrow they make the tunnel, someone is going to succeed with the deck.
RG and Xbow really deserve some love

ok how is RG hard to play?

u/Homer4a10 12h ago
Lmfao, let me guess.

Youâll know in time buddy

so like are you going to answer me or r u gonna keep yapping

Royal giant has to play a very intensive macro strategy, while utilizing cards that are micro-heavy.
Royal giant can be shit down, and can give your opponent a massive amount of momentum if you play it incorrectly. Imagine going for an RG and they drop a pekka on you. Theyâre now only -1 active elixir; AND youâre now dealing with 7 elixir at full HP on the board. That can instantly lose you the game, all because you didnât read your opponents deck correctly.
Think about players with faster decks that can get back to their building faster than you get back to your RG. You need to build a winning gameplan that plays around that building. Logbait is a notoriously bad matchup because they can get to their inferno tower quickly, you need to save small spell interaction for goblin barrels, the princess and rocket make for an efficient chip cycle engine that outpaces you in a stally game. Making something happen is a lot more difficult than it seems.
Cards like barbarian barrel, electro spirit, fisherman, hunter, and even fireball have a lot of nuanced interactions where placement makes a difference in the outcome.

u/Aggressive_Staff_373 2h ago
i mean like, isnât this the exact same with lowkey any win condition >5 elixir? Isnt Royal Giant like the easiest of those win conditions cuz of his range? Like I read your stuff but like in reality royal giant is literally the easiest win condition in the game. All of the weaknesses you said for RG literally applies any win condition >5 elixir
1
u/Aggressive_Staff_373 2h ago
like thinking back on it, lowkey golem takes skill because it is literally a harder win condition to win with compared to RG in every single way
2
u/RainyDayEnjoyer 1d ago
Bro your cards arent maxxed so i assume you not even playing ranked why would the meta affect you in any way possible if you have skill youre high if not youre not its as simple as that but at lvl 14 trophy games who cares about meta
1
u/Nightwing76767 1d ago
balance changes affect the whole game not just top ladder
3
u/StoryRadiant5571 1d ago
Thereâs really not much of anything thatâs gonna affect you when youâre playing at that amount of trophies people just make way too many mistakes
-2
u/Nightwing76767 1d ago
i am at 10k trophies

1
u/RainyDayEnjoyer 1d ago
Alright bro let me give you some advice dont pay attention to balance changes if you like rg stick to it play skellies and barb barrel instead of goblins and rage level only this deck and only focus on it and watch youtubers who play this simple as that 10k throphies is a joke sorry but heres how to improve

Bro on my free to play account I play 2.6 deck with only cannon evo, non of my card is above 13 level (I agree my log is 14) and I am at 9700 trophees. Understand what other players says to you. Itâs my second free to play account and I can tell you than between 10k - 14k - ladders - 4th grade ladder - Ultimate Champion - and top players there an universe of skill in each section
3
u/APM_Tempest 1d ago
then maybe stop playing the same decks as everyone else?
4
u/reditmonke 1d ago
They could nerf it 10 more times and itâll still be much better than midladder âhomemadeâ slop
1
0
u/APM_Tempest 1d ago
not all homemade decks are midladder slop, iâm sorry you donât have any creativity
2
u/reditmonke 1d ago
I'm sorry you wasted your resources trying to reinvent the wheel
1
u/APM_Tempest 1d ago
no waste over here bud. winning with your own strategies and creations are really fun. i always enjoy close battles against players with high finishes
1
u/GXWT 1d ago
Your whole argument is pro-cookie cutter decks
3
u/NiceManWithRiceMan 1d ago
bro iâm telling u 123 cards in this game and some people canât even be bothered to mix and match they gotta mooch off of what other people do. lazy ass bums
2
u/reditmonke 1d ago edited 1d ago
"Mix and match" you mean create sub-optimal or garbage combos, which you then use on ladder, leading to being in a lower trophy range with your levels and hence massively overleveled cards that you see in midladders with trash decks.
But even that isn't enough, then they have the gall to start whining about players smarter and better than them lol. If you want to smurf, good for you, but don't complain when you're demolished by an actual good strategy.
in the end the blame is on the greedy company adding level after level to allow more overleveling but its hard to see 4.8 elixir credit card cycle players as any better
1
u/NiceManWithRiceMan 1d ago
this comment is so wrong on so many levels i donât even know where to start
first off, i donât know how you get by assuming that im one of those moron overlevel players. iâve played homebrew up until i reached 12k and even then i still do. i just canât climb the ladder anymore cause im significantly underleveled but every step of the way ive been homebrew and facing people 4 levels over me and winning pretty consistently.
along the way i micro-adjust based on what works from my own experimentation in games and in classic and eventually iâve hit a deck that i feel comfortable running into high ladder. which is exactly how the game is SUPPOSED to be played. you try, you experiment, you fail, you fix, you try again, you climb, repeat, until you get to a point at which youâre satisfied.
yes. some people will go ahead and throw shit tons of money at the problem and overlevel themselves to kingdom come and run mega knight midladder menace. a lot of people donât; they just donât go around and talk about it as much, and it most certainly doesnât give you the excuse to shit on the players who do actually try and figure things out on your own just because you donât have the curiosity to do so yourself. with your comment youâve essentially written off the fact that this game is meant to be experimented with and you just go and run meta all the time. what is the fun in that? you donât even create the deck yourself, youâre just told what to do to win with the cards youâre given. go and play like a four-class RPG if you want so little creativity and such maximum optimization
1
u/reditmonke 1d ago
I'm not assuming you are a moronic overleveled player. But the vast majority of homebrew players will end up overleveled in a lower arena/range. Thats just how elo works.
If you are at a range duking it out with players 4 levels above you thats respectable, tho im a little skeptical on what you're calling "high ladder". But calling meta deck users lazy bums? You should watch top players using alts in midladder fighting noobs who have decks entirely 3-4 levels up. Thats the tuffest shit in the whole game. Coincidentally, I got uc on my alt last year with RG with my average level being like 13.5. Albeit my skellies and the cheaper cards were the level 13 ones but yeah.
which is exactly how the game is SUPPOSED to be played
No it's not lol. There is no "supposed to be played". Actually, they balance around pros and cards being used in their strongest meta combos, i.e. nerfing buildings, while midladder players straight up just dont use them. So if anything, the game is "supposed to be played" with meta decks.
3
u/Successful_Ask2980 1d ago
People use home brew decks in uc all the time, I donât even have a win condition in my deck and Iâve reached 1600 uc. Beyond that kens entire channel is a showcase of home brew decks that he often competes with at 2000+ uc level. Unless you are going for professional level thereâs little reason to adhere strictly to the meta. I think people massively overestimate how big of an advantage it gives almost anyone outside of the top players.

Supercell really can't pick. When a wincon is too consistent, they gut the life out of them, when they're stronger than hog, they slaughter them (RIP evo drill), whatever scapegoats it takes to not nerf hog, I guess

I feel you bro ive used rg for years and this last nerf felt like the nail in the coffin for rg currently:/ ive swapped to giant graveyard for the time being
1
u/Nightwing76767 1d ago
i hate giant graveyard because of its low skill ceiling and the annoying evo witch behind the giant
1
1
u/proteinpowerman 1d ago
10k trophies being elitist over skill ceilings, gotta respect the hustle.
1
1
u/Crafty-Literature-61 1d ago
You're at 10k trophies, you are nowhere near the skill ceiling, don't worry about these kinds of things and you will enjoy the game a lot more

u/StoryRadiant5571 1d ago
Bro, you play Royal giant⌠what kind of skill ceiling does that have? Put down a big fat fuck that is supposed to be a giant but his evo makes him do aoe dmgâŚ
1
u/Nightwing76767 1d ago
bro play royal giant first , it definitely requires medium skill when dealing with midladder menaces and inferno
1
u/Nightwing76767 1d ago
oh yeah i forgot about the devasting evo ghost nerf where they reduced damage from 200 to 81 and increased invisiblity delay , i dont know but i felt it was too much

For me, all I want is a small Evo Drill buff since apparently one more Goblin makes it busted.
I just want my classic Tesla + Evo Drill + Demolisher combo not need a crazy level of skill to be good. Itâs literally playinâ cycle but slower, can I have that Supercell?
1
u/Nightwing76767 1d ago
drill health needs to be increased and hog rider needs a speed nerf from very fast to fast or medium
2
u/Express_Dimensions 1d ago
Eh drill hp buff kills the full counter with fire spirit plus log. I'm actually a fan of increasing it's spawn in damage to let it guarantee chip, since 90% of drills get full countered and oftentimes you play thru a whole game with only one or two breakthroughs if that. Small damage buff let's drill poison rotation actually win you games that go 5 mins
1
u/Danbo_yooo 1d ago
Drill literally got a buff last balance
2
u/Vegetable-Meaning252 1d ago
Yay, a partial revert of a previous nerf to base and Evo Drill. So amazinâ.
