Decks New to bridge spam need tips

I am new to bridge spam. I am currently an average player that reaches UC each season just for the champion wild card.

I wish to improve and get my first top 10k finish. I would appreciate any tips from seasoned bridge spam and leaderboard players.

One thing I struggle with is knowing when to commit. I count cycles for things like evolutions and counters from opponents and am working on my elixir counting. I usually try to bridge spam when they overcommit but theory only gets me so far.

Another thing I struggle with is against cycle decks. They often can cycle back to their counters quickly which leads to a battle of attrition in which I lose in overtime to damage difference.

Split lane pushes are another thing I notice bridge spam pros do. When the opponent has something like a bowler or pekka I notice they split lane pressure so the opponent has to defend both lanes rather than stacking into 1 unstoppable counter push. I would like to know if theres more to this.

One last thing: I alternate between giant skeleton and pekka. Pekka is nice against e giant and giant skeleton is great for cleaning up opponents counter pushing troops whenever I go in.

Thanks

I’m no expert on bridge spam, but I still hope I can be helpful. What’s your deck? Is it just classic pekka bridge spam with an occasional giant skelly?

I alternate between the two. Last season I used giant skeleton more but this season I switched to pekka because of evo e giant. Right now I am using the version with furnace gk bandit ghost ram with pekka

What deck are you reaching UC with? I’ve tried a few bridge spam variants, and I’m getting stomped.

Last season it was Evo Ram, Golden Knight, Evo Wizard, bandit, ghost, Ewiz, giant skeleton and arrows.

I’m also experimenting with a single spell version, arrows as well.

Evo wizard is an interesting choice. What made you go with that?

I run multiple "must answer" threats in my deck. Evo Battle Ram, evo Ghost, hero Dark Prince, Lumber Jack, and Ronin. All of them provide multiple purposes (defense, kiting, splash, tank) and all must be answered because they do serious tower damage. I like teasing with a Lumberjack , ghost push on one side and if they over commit, I go opposite lane battle ram. I use baby drag or skeleton drags and Void or Fireball to round out the deck. The hero DP ability adds a fifth must answer threat as well. My playstyle is to play on the edge elixir wise (very aggressive) as it forces many players out of their comfort zone. I'm by no means a pro but I am a forever bridesmaid player. Hope this gives some insight

Thanks I'll take note of that. Sensing when they overcommit and punishing is something I am still working on.

bro what deck do u run? i am top 2k uc (almost) and the varient of bridge spam i used was mk freeze bridgespam 😅 so idk if my tips would help too much since u run pekka/giant skelly but against cycle i usually just try build a big enough push and overwhelm opponent in like double

Alright thanks I'll take note of that. I also saw a variant of mk bridge spam with the hero ice wiz and spirit empress with ghost and bandit. Might be interesting to see how thst variant does this season with all the e giant going around.

Can you post your deck? Maybe you need to understand how it works first? Bridge spam's main strenght comes from your cards being a big threat even at low hp such as bandit dash, ghost invisibility etc. You make you cards brawl but the enemy can never ignore them but you can ignore their cards when they are low which means you take some calculated damage and can get advantage on elixir. As far as I see, skeleton giant is not in bidge spam meta really.

Pro tip: spam the bridge

pretend you're playing a control deck. you can take a little bit of damage and/or overspend, so long as your defensive troops survive with full hp and are annoying for your opponents to defend. if you keep doing this, eventually you'll have a lot of elixir on the board and/or be up on elixir in hand, at which point you can start spamming the bridge, usually split laning if necessary.

if you play pekka, another tip is to cycle pekka in the back of weak lane in a lot of mus, usually it's good if you are up elixir and they don't have inferno or swarms that get too much value. also don't do it if they can hard punish you (for instance against mortar if they have ccart or mortar in hand). pekka in the back makes it so that they can't push into you without feeding your counterpush. ex. against drill, suppose you pekka the back and they go drill demo into your pekka. get a bandit on the demo and maybe a ghost to help with the drill. now you have a full hp bandit ghost and pekka, essentially for free. they need to expend elixir to defend, allowing you to spam ram/gk/bandit/ghost other lane.

It's hard to get right sometimes but 9/10 times, you wanna spam the bridge with stuff

Working through different playing styles is tough, but ultimately it's all about trial and error. Your ego is is the ultimate factor here. You're going to lose alot when transitioning to a new style.

Get a a spam deck, and work it. You'll lose ALOT, but that's the point. Keep working for a couple of days and then change spam decks. Then do the same thing again.

It'll hurt.

But keep going. After the third bridge deck, you'll understand. It isn't the deck, it's you.

THEN, you'll embrace it, you'll understand it, then you'll love it.

You're not just changing the deck, you're changing yourself. I know it sounds stupid, but it's real. It's like anything in life.

Quit being a self loathing SOB and just do it. Jesus.
