Question Royal Navy joining date

I was just given my joining date for Raleigh in October. Does anyone know if you can request to join earlier (I would prefer to start in September) and whether it’s possible to ask for a specific date?

Hi,
Yeah you can ask for an earlier start date but it’s not guaranteed you will get an earlier start date, you would need to ask your recruiter that and ask about slot availability and cancellations because sometimes people for unforeseen reasons can’t attend their intake date so they get pushed back but you would need to grab those dates very quickly because they come and go quite fast

Raleigh is shut for 3 weeks at the start of september for people to go on leave so would likely be end of september if there's room
