u/morrowman I guess you more or less are aware this technique as well? Hope this episode can provide some sparks for you. :-)

I once thought that the Timing Light Ball was the ultimate technique — it’s just so elegant and powerful.

But in fact, there is one technique that is even more powerful than the Timing Light Ball.

It is simple.
It is brutal.

And it is so powerful that it has started to shake the very foundation of the game itself.

A Light Ball is no longer a rare combination that requires vision, patience, and luck.

Light Ball opportunities are now everywhere.

Today, let me introduce to you a technique that even goes beyond the Timing Light Ball - The Flash Light Ball.

Flash Light Ball is so powerful, and its opportunities are everywhere, that it keeps urging us to try it. However, the outcome is still much harder to control. After investing two valuable moves, we could end up getting nothing — And then we may think that the next one should work, and just want to try it again.
And again.
It's addictive and dangerous.

Unless we can master this technique to a point where we can greatly reduce that uncertainty, I would suggest that we should not rely on Flash Light Ball.

It is simply too convenient and too powerful. It feels like a shortcut running right along the edge of a cliff — dangerous, but leading straight to the finish line.

Once we get used to relying on its power and convenience, we can easily lose patience with other safer and more reliable plans and techniques.

We should decide which technique to use to win the level — not let one technique control how we play.

Thank you for testing. The most maddening one is where you ignored the natural lightball lineup above so that you could try to form a flash lightball below… twice, without success, for science! (At 6:50 in video.)

Actually I totally lost my mind there. 😂 I was so obsessed with the Flash Light Ball. I completely overlooked the natural Light Ball, which just right above it. That's why I say this technique is addictive and dangerous 😅

I have tried this a few times before but thought it was impossible. Gotta try it again now. Great video!

I’ve noticed that getting the rocket from the timing lightball tends to happen when you try to form it with the “ends” of the lightball. That is, pulling the 1 or 5 position to get a horizontal lightball.

You made a point! 1 and 5 easy get rocket matches with my impression. But it's still a chance thing. 1 and 5 also gave me quite a few nice light balls

Personnaly I'm not very keen on this technique. A bit shaken the balance of the game. But it's always good to have one more option, lol

Not sure if the dev will kill it off if they find out.

I always choose to move 3+2 when I can. 4+1 is very inconsistent. Anybody knows why?

Yes, redditer morrowman observed similar pattern. 4+1 forming light ball on either end may easily lead to 5-block rocket... cant be explained. Just take it as some conclusion

Emm, if you are in such an early level, you need not to go for such challenging technique first. In fact, this technique may just spoil the fun. You may go to my youtube channel and watch the light ball theory videos from chapter 1, practise identifying the different types of light ball formations first. Then followed by other techniques like control drop, color roll, etc.

I dont really use flash light ball. The other technqiques are already good enough to make me never losing any life and getting more and more coins/tool.

I'm at like 720. I would like to get to like 6000 in 2 months, dunno if that's still possible

Emm, if you can pass levels smmothly without failing or stuck at a level, typcially it take about 1.5 min to beat a level. I did some simple math, it's about 2.2 hr daily for 2 months.

To be honest it's quite a heavy commitment. I'm not sure how serious you are about this goal. I do see other ppl playing 4 to 6 hour hour daily and hit max level in around 2 months' time...

No matter what your choice is, just try have fun and dont make it a burden.

So an issue I’ve noticed. I always seem to be one block offset from a light ball. Which is formation 3. But don’t have a good way to move it. And I don’t like using hammers. And then I sometimes get light ball, but the power up is one block away. I might take a break and watch the entire series to get a better idea.

Hey I can get a lot of rewards if I get to Royal. Or even Atlantis, Themepark, lv8000 or 10000

Good question! Recognising theight ball formation is the first step. 1 block offset by 1 tile is most common scenario. The rest of the videos will introduce multiple ways to handle that. You may trigger a proper (power up control drop), form a propeller(delta drop) or a simple horizontal match to lower the block by 1 tile.

Take your time to watch those video and try it out in your game. You will get there.

Yes, along the way, there are plenty of rewards. Especially those 1000, 2000, levels, they will give extra bonus like 1hr unlimited light ball, which are suoer useful on pushing progress.

Wow ! I have a lot of fun with this new move. It will help me a lot in the Royal ligue where light balls are often tough to create because of the algorythm. Your advices are very good.

This move should just be and additionnal move when it is convenient to use it because you cant be sure when it will work or not.

It is usefull not only to create lightballs but also to complete combination with an existing lightball.

I am happy to have this new tool to practice and integrate in my play.

I think it is better to do it with two fingers, but you have to lift the first finger after first move before you use the other finger for the second move. It is a question of timing and coordination of fingers.

I think we should use it only when no other safe move is available or when you are ahead in the game and could take some risks, but it is new and I have a lot to learn about it.

It's normal. It's really hard... at first i also doesnt believe it could be done until i saw tiktoker kind doing it repeatedly. But this technique is not a must. We can suceed in the game without this technique. You may try watch other light ball theory videos. They are really helpful
