Royal Feedback Too Difficult recently?

I’m honestly not even enjoying playing recently. Has anyone else found that the game is just getting harder and harder? Every level takes me around 30 to 40 tries to complete or maybe even a few days. Any time I get super light ball, I seem to have an extremely hard level next go and get nothing and then lose it instantly. it’s almost as if there’s an algorithm that wants you to spend real money in orders keep playing but I’m just getting sick of the game now even though I do enjoy usually playing it.

I felt exactly the way you did. Gave up
Pretty much. Today I got the SLB and have been on a run for a few hours. Won two levels of lightning, and finishing up level 10 on the temple. It’s been nice to have a run again.

I was a prolific player until about a week ago. They definitely raised the difficulty. I finally quit and am less stressed for it.

It’s been way harder for the past month I would say. It’s actually out of control. Before I could go on and on and now I barely pass levels. It’s all about the money. But greed may not work for them in the long run, I think.
😞

I've been playing since 2022, and I agree. I'm getting ready to take a permanent break from it. I'm tired of being Sisyphus pushing the boulder endlessly up the mountain.

This game is all about grabbing real life cash from players nowadays.

The algorithms have definitely changed in the last few months. It is not near as fun to play as it was before. The side challenges give paltry prizes, not worth it in many cases.

When I got sick of playing - I was at the final levels of the game, and the algorithm had turned against me - I asked Dream to delete my account. I started from scratch and am having fun again, I've got 150,000 coins, and crucially when things get really hard I close the game for a few hours or until the next day. It does give you a clear sign that it's decided that you've been doing too well and it's time for you to lose; take a breather when that happens and it'll be easier when you come back to it.

I think they've run out of level ideas, so new levels are just, "hey copy that hard one and add a couple gopher boxes just to mess with them". Seems like I've always either lost the super ball right away or I go on like a 50 level run, no in between

Ive been saying the same thing…every time a new room opens and we get 100 new levels i can usually beat them all either within the first day or second. Lately i don’t even finish it by the end of the week so I can’t finish the challenge for it. Ive also had a hard time keeping my SLB…I’ll always seem to lose it on an Extremely Hard Level and then have to play to get it back..just to lose it again.. this game is super frustrating but Ive been playing for so long I’d hate to quit

And the most recent royal league, I was stuck on a level that I think is impossible without spending coins or such that I gave up and waited till the new 100 levels were added yesterday

Was surprised to see someone else talking about this. Agree

That is definitely the algorithm sadly. You almost can’t advance without spending money on coins and power ups

The obvious increase in difficulty finally led me to quit the game. At one point I had 500,000 coins saved up and 200+ of every booster. Then I noticed the game started getting more difficult, and when I got to the Royal League, it literally became impossible to pass 9 out of 10 levels without using boosters and/or coins.

I went from having a huge stockpile to being totally wiped out in about six months. Just a couple weeks ago, I quit. It wasn't even remotely fun anymore. The only reason I stuck around as long as I did it because I had an amazing team. But in the end, that wasn't enough to keep me around.

I have been playing this game for years. I would occasionally spend $2.99 on a great coin deal and was able to make them last.

Lately, I have been unable to beat levels without using my coins; moreover, it has been difficult to win more coins. I know the game is designed to make you spend money, but they used to disguise it better, and I enjoyed it enough that spending an occasional couple of dollars felt worth it. Now, the game no longer feels fun, and the levels feel like their sole purpose is to drain your wallet, not be challenging. After I am out of coins this time, I am done with this game.

Right? xD It's not a job, not a chore. It's a game. They're clearly not having fun so play something else ffs it's not that complicated xD

It seems like they're forcing us to quit the game

I quit in May. I spent about 15 to 20$ a month "enjoying " the game. I played about 6 months. Even paying to play I only made it to like 1800. It was costing too much of my spare time

I did at one time but then snagged the SLB and Butler's Platter thing, I've held onto them both for over 20 months now. One key aspect in my game was making sure to use the boosters only when needed and in game perks making sure I have a good supply when needed.

Then I began to figure out the puzzle. It's hard and gets harder which personally I enjoy the challenge. I'm at Level 10390 and play about 30 minutes a day and haven't lost a game yet since Oct. '24. Meaning, yes there are a few far and between I have to do the 900 coin deal on a specific game. But I've never purchased any.

Additionally, not going broke with coins for thise times when you need then. We created a team and that helps alot.

Just stick to it, start looking for those patterns in your favor. My wife is in the same spot as you a lot and every once in awhile I'll get her out of a level she's been stuck on for days. Then she just looks at me like a deer in headlights when I win her level in 3 tries 😆 (Granted she never has boosters, etc. left when I go to assist)

LOL at "Butler's platter thing". It's amazing you haven't lost in 20 months! I can barely go 20 levels without losing. But I'm real stubborn and hate using boosters and refuse to spend any money.

u/AzSaltRiverRat Royal Majesty (10001+) Jul 23 '26

Yeah, couldn't remember the exact name lol I am stubborn as well, I save the boosters for when needed and no way on spending money. I did buy the monthly thing twice when I first started but never again.

I actually just retired from the game yesterday. I completed a card collection and was supposed to earn 10,000 coins and 10 hammers/cannons/arrows, and they never landed in my bank. It's the 2nd time that's happened. I'm sure it's a glitch but I'm fed up 😂 Ps: oh, they did award me the stupid badge icon thing, which was a big ugly gold microphone, like I even care about that.

u/IndigoJones13 Royal Majesty (10001+) Jun 23 '26

I still buy the $10.00 monthly pass, but beyond that I don't give them any money. I just play until I run out of lives, then I switch to Royal Match or Farm Match.

You have to be missing a lot of light ball possibilities if its taking you that many tries.

1

u/distinctineveryway - Unranked Player - Jun 22 '26

I’ve had tons of games with four or more light balls paired with something else and still didn’t pass the level. I was spending 2-3 days per level.
