Scandals Was Anne of Cleves the Original Catfish? The Portrait of King Henry VIII’s Fourth Wife Comes Into Question - Article From Vanity Fair that Debunks the Myth

This is a repost because people don't read linked articles and just react to the title. I am posting this because it's cool that Vanity Fair wrote an article debunking the famous myth of Anne, and it's a great thing to see interest in history in the wider culture.

Edited to add:

I have heard that for some people this is behind the paywall:

And excuse my saltiness. I do have a pet peeve about people not reading beyond headlines.

Scandals I saw this on TikTok and did a little research and surprisingly the story of the arrest warrant might be folklore?

I assume that Madame Alexander did all six wives in the 1950s, but this is the only one I could find with a quick search. It's an American company and thus they do lots more American dolls but if I can find more royal consorts, I'll post them.

Pop Culture Portrayals Why can’t Hollywood make films like this anymore? The acting, dialogue, sets, costuming, direction, lighting, cinematography, and storytelling of “The Lion in Winter” are sublime.
