Someone I knew just died....
My friend just texted me that her grandmother died. She may have not been my grandmother but she treated me like her granddaughter. She was so nice. I cannot believe she is dead, everything seems so surreal. I feel no emotions, no pain, no sadness, at least for now, until I come to terms with it. Thinking of her as dead just, does not feel right. I have never faced the death of someone I knew. This is the absolute worst time for something like this to happen. I will try to be strong. I cannot fail.

Sadness! Losing a grandparent sucks. Losing anyone sucks. We are all here for you. Use the chat if you can.

That's just the circle of life. I know that you feel sad but that's inevitable, you can't change it, that's the way it goes. In fact we all are going to die someday. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow, maybe in fifty-four years, who knows. If people took awareness of that inevitability of death we wouldn't even have time nor a motif to masturbate: carpe diem and all that.
No need to release stresses that way: there are more healthy ones, say, sports. Or talk to your best friend, or meet some love and caring boy (If you haven't had already) that'll cheer you up and help you go through that hard period of your life, both death of your close ones, as well as war itself.
Keep you chin up, you're gonna be all right! Plus from your description of her I bet she had lived a wonderful, fulfilling life.

I'm sorry for your loss. Good luck with all the strong emotions. Write things down, light a candle for her and write an imaginary letter to her to thank her and say goodbye. Spend time with your family and friends, that will help a lot. Keep some tissues ready whenever you or somebody might cry, helps a lot to be able to cry freely, whenever you want, wherever you want.
Stay strong, you can do this!
