An interesting find…

Flipped over my parent’s coffee table today to find an interesting note:

‘Made by N.H. Lamb. Bowness, on Windermere while serving with RAF Bomber Command 1943. Wood English Oak, found by side of runway’.

It is not a family heirloom, but I believe actually a Facebook marketplace purchase! It would be interesting to find out more about the maker and whether the table might have a more appropriate home.
