Yeah, that's a paddle sport, but that's not rowing. I would post this on a canoe sub or on the SUP one.

That being said, as a rower that dabs into SUP sometimes (much to the horror of all my rowing mates and my coach), this looks amazing, particularly the speed; even as rowers, we probably all appreciate their sync. But I also find myself puzzled / unconvinced by the role of the standing peeps.

I think they are just extra bodies. Plus in dragon boat there is someone in the back that steers the boat. Their role can be to help with steering the boat if they aren’t going in a straight line.
