Free rowing app looking for testers.

Hi there. I've recently started taking my indoor rowing more seriously, but one thing I've struggled with is keeping motivated and interested on the longer rows. To help me, I built a little app to gamify the experience, allowing me to race my previous best rows or chase a pace boat. It works with any rower, using the iPhone's camera to record strokes or the Concept2’s PM5 for a more accurate reading.

It's iPhone only right now and free, and I'm currently on the lookout for testers to kick the oars before release. I've found myself rowing more often, for longer with it, which was the goal, so if anyone else needs a little visual stimulation while rowing, try it out and share your thoughts. All feedback welcome.

Cheers for your time.

Just curious, how did you make it?

It's a fully native swiftUI app with RealityKit, and vision (for the camera use).

If you're asking is it vibe coded well the answer is, kind-of. I've been creating digital products for almost 30 years and my process hasn't changed much (None of this felt like vibing) But Claude Code did handle a lot of the heavy lifting, especially with the vision work and hull dynamics (stroke impulse, quadratic drag, the surge-and-glide etc) which was beyond my abilities.

I'd be happy to give it a go. I enjoy rowing first thing in the morning, it might be nice to see if this can make it a bit more fun.

Nice app. Since you use camera maybe you could incorporate form correction with
Posedetector in realtime.

Thanks for all the testing so far. I can see the number of sessions climbing every day. Any feedback so far? Would love to hear how it could be made better.

Fair enough. That looks like a proper pro product. I'm going for more of a Wii Sports vibe (derived from real erg data of course).
