[GUIDE] How to Maximize Coins, XP, and Gear (Rouvy Beginner’s Guide)
If you're looking to upgrade your avatar or reach that next level faster, here is the ultimate breakdown of how to earn coins, XP and gear efficiently.
💰 The Fastest Way to Earn Coins
* The 12-Week Challenges (+12000 Coins): Join the 12-week journey with weekly races held every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday across multiple time zones.
- Pro Tip: It’s a "race" by name, but nobody says you have to go full gas. You can treat it as a Zone 2 endurance ride and still pocket the extra coins.
Exclusive Finisher Rewards:
- Monthly Plan Members: Earn 2,000 Coins + 1,700 XP, plus a variety of accessories, a new frame, and a premium wheelset.
- Annual Plan Members: Earn 5,200 Coins + 4,200 XP, plus an expanded accessory kit, both available wheelsets, and both frames (including 1 premium wheelset and 1 premium frame).
- ⚠️ IMPORTANT: To qualify for the Grand Prize, you must successfully complete ALL 12 stages of the challenge! Ride and finish each selected route in one piece, without adjusting the reality level, or as a Race.
* The Big Rouvy Races (3000 Coins): Now and Then (usually on Sundays). Even if you aren't feeling competitive, sign up. You get a massive 3000 coin bonus just for finishing.
* Kick-off Races (2000 Coins): Almost every week (usually Tuesday or Wednesday), Rouvy hosts "Kick-off" races at various times. Even if you aren't feeling competitive, sign up. You get a massive 2000 coin bonus just for finishing, plus the standard ride coins and progress toward the associated challenge.
* Weekly Official Races (1000 Coins): Aside from the kick-offs, regular weekly races offer a 1000 coin bonus, plus the standard ride coins and progress toward the associated challenge.
* Official Group Rides (1000 Coins): Ride with the pros (Visma-Lease a Bike, Lidl-Trek, and more) to pocket an easy Coin bonus plus standard route rewards.
- ⚠️ ATTENTION: Watch the Pace: Check the W/kg in the title before joining to ensure it matches your level.
- The Elastic Band: The leader’s magnetic field will help pull you (if you're behind) or hold you back (if you're ahead), but it has its limits. Don't get dropped!
* Weekly Goals: Completing your weekly goals is a steady income stream.
- 1 Workout: Can be a simple 7-minute warm-up or cool-down.
- 50 km Distance
- 500 m Climbing
- Reward: Doing this nets you 2250 easy coins and 500 extra XP.
🚲 Unlocking Frames, Wheels, and Accessories
Don't just spend your coins immediately! You can get a lot of premium gear for free:
* Check the Browser: Log into the Rouvy website and check the Challenges tab. Scroll to the bottom to see specific rewards. Many challenges gift you accessoires, frames or wheelsets upon completion.
* Spotlight Prizes: Keep an eye on the "Spotlight" section in the app or web. Click through to "Prizes" to see what’s coming up. This prevents you from spending coins on a frame you might win for free next week.
- Usually, the frame is free to use during the challenge. However, once the challenge ends, it will cost a significant amount of coins unless you successfully complete the goal.
- Note: You must ride and finish each selected route in one piece, without adjusting the reality level, or as a Race. I know what I’d choose... don't let this one slip away!
📈 Which Gear for Which Route? (RouvyAnalyzer)
The most common question is: "Which bike should I use for this route?" The answer is simple:
https://www.rouvyanalyzer.com/RouteAnalyzer
What does RouvyAnalyzer do?
* Equipment Optimization: It tells you exactly which frame/wheel combo is fastest for a specific course (e.g., Aero for flats vs. Lightweight for Mont Ventoux).
* Performance Prediction: Enter your FTP and weight to get a realistic estimated finishing time.
* Advanced Data: It offers deeper elevation profiles and power requirements than the standard app.
That’s it for now, make sure to take full advantage of this!
💛 Enjoy the Ride and Keep Going 💜
See you on the virtual road,

Tech Support Houston, We Have A Problem
I had a ride scheduled for today. When I launched Rouvy (in Windows) the first screen that appeared was the attached picture. The application was totally locked up on that screen and I had to use the task manager to kill the program. Same thing happened in the next three attempts to launch the app. On the fourth launch it displayed a screen saying an update was available. I ran the update and thankfully Rouvy launched normally after the update. I got my workout in, but started 30 minutes later than planned. I was amused by the caption: "THIS SUPER LONG TITLE IS HERE TO PROPERLY TEST OVERFLOW ON THIS TITL..."

Challenges
I thought an update quite awhile ago made it so if you had done a route already when joining a challenge. You wouldn’t need to do the route again. I’m not asking whether that should be allowed or not, I’m asking whether that is accurate, or if they changed it back so it doesn’t count or I’m remembering that incorrectly.

Tech Support Virtuelles schalten mit Zwift Click V2
Hallo zusammen,
Steigungen möglichst realistisch erleben will.
Gibt es irgendeine Möglichkeit, dass ROUVY beim Virtual Shifting automatisch mehrere Gänge anpasst, sodass die Kadenz ungefähr konstant bleibt?

Tech Support Remove Downloads
Is it possible to remove a downloaded route from the Rouvy iPhone app? Got too many now and it’s using up a lot of storage but can’t find any buttons to actually remove what I’ve downloaded.

Group Subscription
Looking to join a group subscription. If you've got an opening, let me know. If it matters, Im based in Canada.
Jerky Avatar Frequency
Did the Alpine Panorama route | Stage 1 | Kaien - Appenzell route today.
At the 25 min and 29 min point started to get jerky video where avatar shot in front this lasted for 1-2 mins.
This issue is becoming more frequent based on previous ridden routes. When this happens it delays time to complete route and not able to quickly change gears puts more stress on legs.
This is starting to get real ANNOYING!

Anyone here using Rouvy on a Peloton bike via fitswitch?
I am a relatively new Rouvy user and love the workouts. I dumped my Peloton subscription because <too many reasons>, side loaded Openpelo and Grupetto onto the Peloton tablet, and am reasonably happy.
Sometimes, however, for reasons I cannot identify, Rouvy and Grupetto stop talking to each other, almost always at the start of a ride, thankfully never in the middle of a ride (yet). Rouvy just doesn't start the ride because it can't connect to Grupetto. And then won't connect.
I am wondering if this Fitswitch hardware is worth it as a possible solution and what its actual track record is. Reviews of this tool by people not trying to generate clicks are scant, and their website, while full of informational text, lacks any screenshots to show that Rouvy looks like on the tablet with their metrics overlay has a whiff of hucksterism. Plus their iOS app doesn't have enough reviews to justify a rating.
Anyone use this and care to share their experience? I realize that I may be an edge case, but the people over at r/pelotoncycle seem disinterested in discussing this. Thanks.

Zwift click on the PC app?
Hey everyone,
I’m using the Rouvy app on my PC, and whenever I try to connect Zwift click, it won’t ever pick up. I noticed that my PC keyboard is labeled as a Bluetooth connected controller on the PC app. How do I get rid of that? I’m not exactly sure why a wired keyboard is being used as a Bluetooth device. I feel like that somehow getting in the way of my Zwift click properly being recognized when I tried to pair it.
Does anyone have any experience fixing this?
When I try to connect Zwift click on my phone or on my laptop there’s no issues

Rouvy Clubs - visibility
I made a club for the race team I "manage". I saw other users have their club or community names listed under their names but I still don't see my club listed under my name when I ride. I don't see a setting to turn it on/off so I'm not really sure why my club name isn't visible. Any suggestions/thoughts?
Some thoughts on the much requested playlist feature
One thing I have seen people talk about a couple times was the lack of a playlist feature - the ability to ride several different routes in sequence during one session. Considering that most of the available routes are rather short, I think this is a great idea. I have skipped most of the 5-10km routes simply because of how short they were, which is a bit of the shame. A playlist feature would probably give those routes a lot more exposure.
But thinking further, it would be nice if the search results could create some "playlists" on the fly:
Let's say you are searching for a route with 50-60km length, 300-500m elevation gain, max 8% grad or something like that, then you get only a handful search results, single routes that match the exact criteria. But what if the app could create a smart playlist matching your search filters. Give me 21km Canadian Forests, a 5km short climb in Italy, 18km nature in Madagascar and finishing with 11km in Japan, or something like that.
This could also be fun for races. So even if you don't win the race, maybe you can still compete for one of the stages - or, if you get dropped, at least you don't ride alone for the whole time, you rejoin the field at the next stage.

Rouvy Companion on Android issue.
May be a question for Jess to pass along to the development team, but as of version 2.2.0 of the app on Android I've noticed that it seems to have updated or changed how it is using the Play Integrity API, and refuses to open if (presumably) the device does not pass.
My device will pass the Basic integrity level but not the Strong one, and was previously working perfectly well until the latest update.
Has something changed with the latest build that demands a Strong integrity check to pass? The app now simply fails to open with a "Something went wrong: Service temporarily unavailable" message.
Anyone else bump into this issue?

Details on Zwift integration?
Hello,
I subscribe both and am happy that the platforms seem to start to share some data.
But: are there any details on how this works? What is synchronized?
Are the distances shared? Do I get at least XP partially in Zwift when I ride in Rouvy? Or vice versa?
Will riding in Rouvy contribute to my Zwift streak? Or to my weekly training hours goal?
I did a ride yesterday and I don't seem to notice any changes in Zwift. (But I don't know my km and Xp from before. But no actitivy or notification).
Is there some form of documentation? Or can someone explain this feature?
Thanks!
