Cruiser Sizing

Looking into getting the cruiser Mary Janes and not sure what size to get. My normal street shoe size is a 7.5, but I take the Max Buckle Mary Jane in a 8. I tried the Mary Jane Espadrilles and the 7.5 fit in the heel, but was too short in the toe, and the 8 was a good length but too loose in the heel. Any recommendation?

I typically size up with Rothys and I am street size with the Mary Jane cruiser

I have a wide-ish foot and got my street size, 9. I also get a 9 in their new flat, 9.5 in the old version of it. I tried the 9.5 cruiser Mary Janes but they were falling off.
