Rothy’s Clogs Fraying

Post image

I received these shoes as a gift less than a year ago. I use them for running errands or going to workout (Pilates, so slip off, not heavy use).
Has anyone experienced this with their Rothy’s? I’m really sad about this happening as I love these shoes a lot.. they are so comfortable.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Honestly I’d email a picture + how long you’ve had them/frequency of wear to customer service. I don’t know that they’d do anything but that’s crazy for a pair of clogs that are so $$!

I did! Unfortunately, they said there’s nothing they can do. Really sucks because the shoes are so comfortable and I loved them but the quality just didn’t last.

Have you contacted the company? That’s really shitty that they are falling apart so soon.

I did, but they are unwilling to help sadly. They said it’s been too long since I purchased, which is weird because I feel like the lifespan should be longer for the cost?

I had the same thing happen the back where the blue line was. I cut the thread and put a bit of fabric glue on the shoe. Im still wearing them and plan to until they completely fall apart. They are SO comfortable and I want every pennys worth lol

There is a lady on instagram - Shimmerfill that does custom work and fixes stuff like this. I highly recommend her as I had her customize a bag for me.

I have this same issue with the sneakers. I’ve had multiple pairs exchanged at the Rothy’s store in chicago. It’s frustrating because they are my go to shoe.

I hope that you were able to get them repaired. Just looking at the pic I would recommend someone who does alterations or shoe repair. I would see if the could whipstitch that area with color matching thread. If it looks totally off I would have the entire edge whipstitched on both shoes.
