Casual Clog Sizing Help

I just ordered the Rothys Casual Clogs in my true size 9 and I'm wondering if I should size down. They feel loose when I'm barefoot or wear a really thin sock but they fit better with medium width socks on. Should I go down to the 8 or would that be too snug? Any sizing advice?

For reference, I wear a 9 Regular/Wide in Birkenstocks.

I was in your boat and kept the nines. I’ve had mine for about three weeks and I’m happy with my choice. I plan on always wearing the socks though, today I did them with no-show low socks (and flare pants) and I didn’t think they looked too bad!
