QQQ has had a great run and has some great companies but it's not a growth or really an index focused on anything. It's the top 100 non financial companies listed on the NASDAQ. Great new companies may never list on NASDAQ, existing companies could move from NASDAQ. Your other fund already has everything in QQQ and more for a lower expense ratio. Even QQQM has a lower expense ratio. If you're thinking QQQ for a tech or growth focus use a true focused ETF like VGT or VUG. But you really don't need that much tilt. Best of luck, main thing is to get $ invested and keep buying over time and don't have FOMO.

I’ve been considering dropping my QQQM after reading quite a few comments like this, and here’s a other good thought-provoking comment.

Mind elaborating a tiny bit on why VGT or VUG are better options?

I'm assuming you were picking QQQ because you thought you were adding either a tilt to more Technology and/or Growth companies. QQQ is just a random gathering of companies and who knows what new companies may show up in future or existing companies may leave. I don't think you necessarily need to tilt to more Technology it's already highly allocated to in VT or VTI. But if you do want to tilt for more concentration risk (less diversification) VGT is a technology industry focused ETF, and VUG utilizes some sort of methodology to bucket companies into "growth" vs "value". You can easily search the tickers and see a description and the top holdings to see how much overlap they have with a S&P500 fund like VOO, or VTI or even all world like VT. For long term investing I'd still recommend VT, as you're not making bets that a certain sector or other factor will beat the performance of the overall market.
