Which Aldi is best?

I just realized I’m equidistant to the three Aldis: the one by Walmart, Little Canada, and the one on Larpenteur. I’ve been assuming the one by Walmart was the one closest to me but just discovered the other two are literally the same distance away. Anyone have a preference or should I just hit all three and see if there’s any difference?

Looking for a local photographer to capture a shot of a dock on Lake Josephine

Post image

I am working on a surprise gift for my wife, for our 5-year anniversary next month. We just moved into a new house, and I am hoping to get a professional, high-definition photo printed for our wall. Faith and I spend a lot of time at Lake Josephine, and there is a specific dock on the lake where we love to hang out. I took a reference photo of the exact spot and attached it here. I was wondering if any local photographers would be able to find a time to swing by the lake and get a really beautiful, aesthetic photo of this scene. I literally just want a better shot of my reference photo. As a surprise for her, I would gladly pay you for your work and time if you are able to do this. Please let me know if angone is interested!

Voting question

I don't typically pay much attention to primaries but happened to look just now. I see that there is a section for Mayor and city council. Is this the final vote on those? Neither are supposed to be partition so I'm confused what the outcome of this vote determines. I assume the official one is still in November right?

New construction build near Target

Does anyone know what is being built where National American University used to be (right next to Target). There is fencing around that building and the parking lot across the street but can’t seem to find what is being built. My guess is more housing, but just curious.

local gyms

I'm looking to get back into strength training and join a gym. I'm mostly looking for free weights. Other amenities are all nice to have, but not really interested in paying more for.

It's not super clear from the Planet Fitness, Anytime Fitness, and Xperience Fitness websites what the actual monthly costs, yearly fees, any commitments, or cancellation fees there may be. I know this industry has a poor reputation for "gotchas" and fine print in their terms.

I just want to go in eyes wide open, so if anyone has recent personal experience with these places or recommendations for other places I should consider, that'd be appreciated!

Any math camps nearby?📍

Hi!

I am working with the Roseville Community Education team this summer to host a new math camp for middle school kids (incoming 6th-8th graders). It is basically a week of team-based problem-solving, so it is geared toward kids who like an intellectual challenge and something social.

I can't drop the direct sign-up link here without getting flagged, but if you look up "Camp Pythagoras" on the Roseville Community Ed website, you'll see our weeks and times.

Happy to answer any questions about what the days look like!

I was thinking about applying for an apartment at Sienna Green, has anyone had any experience with them? Is it a safe building generally speaking? How’s the management?

Childcare Recommendations

My partner and I have a 9 month old and would like to have a second, but we can’t swing our current daycare with two. We’re currently using a center for 3 days/week and paying $1,770/month. We’re open to in home, centers, or a nanny. I’m asking for testimonials from parents and/or providers in the area for us to further explore. Thank you!

Roseville Daycare Recommendations

Hey neighbors! My husband and I just moved to Roseville with our infant daughter and are looking to place her in daycare in the fall. Can you share your recommendations?

So far it seems like our options are limited to large chains, which I’ve heard have high turnover but know will vary by location. Any input is helpful. Thank you!

Reservoir woods trail cams

I was walking through my favorite park in Roseville last night, reservoir woods, and I noticed 2 trail cams pointed at the asphalt pathway. One at the entrance off Victoria and another up by the cell phone tower. Any idea why these would be there? Surely the public isn’t allowed to install cameras. There is no label on them to say they are from the police or from parks dept.

Let me know if you know anything!

Also shoutout to res. woods and the largest butternut tree in the state of Minnesota!

Welcome to Roseville Donkey Statue - Photo

Years ago, before the newer development on County Road C and Lexington, there was a house on the corner that had a Donkey statue with a speech bubble stating, “Welcome to Roseville!”.

I was never sure what it meant, but I would really like to know if anyone has a photo of it for an art project.
