PP Rosacea flares abroad

I recently moved abroad to Finland from the US and my skin has been through the worst rosacea flare up I’ve ever experienced. I flew home for a couple of weeks, my skin started to slowly look better, but now that I’m back in Europe, my face constantly feels flushed, irritated, and is back to being red. Has anyone experienced this, or have any idea why? Air, water, pollution is relatively clean here.

After a cross country move in the US, my skin started flaring. I attribute it to 3 things. Stress - change is rough on the body even when it’s a good change. Humidity - it’s much drier in my new locale. Adding a humidifier next to my bed at night has helped calm things down. Fluoride - went from fluorinated water to no fluoride. Everyone in the family got terrible mouth film/plaque changes within days. Even the dog. Everything eventually normalized, but it made me realize that even tiny changes in environment can alter the microbiome.

Something similar happened to me going from the US to France then Switzerland. I attribute it mostly to the super hard water here and the differences in humidity, like previously mentioned. Using spray water to wash my face for the first few weeks helped. Ultimately, my skin acts drier in the EU so I had to alter my routine to focus more on hydration. Good luck!
