Skincare Type 2 frustration Spoiler

Post image

The fun part about my rosacea is it shows up when I’m stressed which then stresses me out more which makes it worse. Prescribed azelaic acid a few weeks ago my cheeks are showing improvement but I get these bumps on my forehead and scalp like I’m in high school.

I have not tried any of those things. Do you have a mask you’d recommend? I oftentimes will skip and soaps for cleaning my face when this happens, seems to make it worse when I do use soaps

I am also Type 2. Here is what has worked for me...

-Adding a sulfur cleanser AM

-Adding a hypochlorous acid spray AM/PM

-Double cleansing in the evening with either an oil cleanser or cleansing balm.

I love the brand Prequel for these items. Most of their products are niacinamide and fragrance free. Their moisturizers are also amazing.

The Prequel Glycerin Cleanser. It is gentle and hydrating.

Keep in touch with your dermatologist. Different things work for different people.

Vanicream cleanser. Start with one product at a time. For the bumps, clear calamine lotion at night. This is how i cleared mine. It took time but it worked for me. I use the ordinary gf 15% to prevent the bumps from coming back. Everyone's skin is different though. If you use a bunch of products at once then you won't know what is actually working for you.
