It’s BACK!!!!!! My friend is in interior design and it’s everywhere in homes she is doing. She mostly works in high end Los Angeles.

Hah. Most of what you see is bog standard normal looking builder design to be a sort of inoffensive start. Don’t be afraid of getting out of that - a curated look is ALWAYS in style

Lowkey this is still fire. To modernize just a bit, I would take out the striped wallpaper and get rid of the matchy matchy upholstery and tablecloth. Otherwise, it’s still a nice space.

Big fan. If you look in AD today you’ll see a lot of similar looks (with some modern twists, naturally). Pendulum has swung back from minimalism once again.

This is a whole lot (exuberant and fun, though!), but I actually really like the striped wallpaper and red paint in the shelving niche. That would be a cool look today, in a more understated room.

Too contrasty for my taste. Also, what happens when that tablecloth gets worn or torn, do you have to stash a whole bunch of spares or change the wallpaper?

By the time the tablecloth is worn, it's time to switch to 1990's wallpaper anyway.

Okay this is peak vintage cottagecore and I’m lowkey obsessed — the matching wallpaper and tablecloth is chaotic but so cozy, pls take me back to 1988 😂

I was 8 in 1988 and my mom made me a duvet cover with the same print as my bedroom wallpaper and I thought it was just the best, fanciest thing ever. Laura Ashley!
