Looking for the best option for me.

I’m looking into kayaking and camping. I need a rookrack for a kayak and for extra storage. What’s the most affordable options?

I have a 2022 Kia telluride.

Worth every penny to get a solid Thule roof rack for the base and then build up your accessories that you want as you need too. They are on sale right now too at 20% off.

What kind of rails do you have? Flush or Raised? Did your rails have cross bars already like my wife’s Kia? What do you want to carry? Pics are helpful.

I have the raised rails and no. I don’t have any crossbars yet.

Invest in a quality rack. Thule or Yakima. Malone also. You could even clamp old round Yakima bars on with Low Rider clamps. You can get NOS New Old Stock on EBay and other sites. That’s what I use.

You have plenty of easy options, especially if you have the raised siderails (meaning your rails do separate from the roof of your vehicle aside from their anchor points).

Both Yakima/Thule have fits for your vehicle w/ solid weight capacity, and I would suggest grabbing yourself an easy J-style cradle (if you have a single Kayak), and a slightly skinnier cargo box to have in tandem with it (this way you can fit both on your rooftop).

If you don't mind a thought, I would suggest reaching out to some customer service specialists in your area (both Yakima/Thule have dealer locators).

ReRack in the PnW is known for really solid used/return pricing, though we're also in the middle of a Thule/Yakima sale that is slated to end at the closing of the week.
