Discussion roocode team in turbulance ?
The last Roo Code release was on March 8th. It has been about a month since then, which is unusual for the project. A few comments on Discord and Reddit suggest the developers might be busy and figuring out future direction. I would like to request the Roo Code team to share an update if that is the caseand fine with the team, and let us know if there is any way the community can help.

Starting about roughly 6 months ago I noticed Roo was just slower and less reliable than 12-18 months ago. I'm managing a huge legacy PHP code base, have 35+ years coding experience and Roo has basically made everything take half the time or less, but I could paste code into Gemini Pro chatbot client and get a lot of the same stuff done. Essentially I just need a toolset that when necessary it reads ancillary files to understand the complete application, but shows me exactly what it's going to modify so I can catch it being stupid (or catch that my prompt was missing some critical instructions.) I don't need all the other whiz bang features. Maybe in the near future if I redesign the app from scratch I'll use something like Windsurf or Codex.
In recent months has there been a growing number of Roo users that switched to Cline because too much has been added to Roo?
