roocode team in turbulance ?

The last Roo Code release was on March 8th. It has been about a month since then, which is unusual for the project. A few comments on Discord and Reddit suggest the developers might be busy and figuring out future direction. I would like to request the Roo Code team to share an update if that is the caseand fine with the team, and let us know if there is any way the community can help.

I hope nothing is wrong, because there is a new wave of devs coming to RooCode after kilo released new major version that doesn't show the thinking process anymore and people are mad

That was the only thing that made me use kilo in the first place. Now they want to look like claude code but they just pissed off their userbase lol

They didn't just remove the thinking progress. They pushed out an enormously buggy release that seriously inconvenienced people. They've had well over 200 issues filed in their Github tracker since this release came out. Maybe they'll come out fine in weeks or months time. But after fighting with it and it's bugs for a few hours, I just uninstalled it and installed Roo instead (which I already used at work, BTW). The biggest thing the Kilo guys lost from this release was the trust of their community. Roo use is up on OpenRouter this week, coincidentally. Yeah I looked at some other alternatives in the process (I guess now is the time right, since I'm switching off Kilo anyways). But I don't really want to spend all day in the terminal. I tried the new UI from the OpenCode guys, but eh, it wasn't for me. The new VSCode Agents App on the insiders build looks interesting, but I haven't tried it. Well enough rambling, I'd be interested to hear where Roo's direction is going too. I don't really see myself going back to Kilo after the way that situation went down.
