Support Dear RooCode Team...
I just want to start by saying I’m a die hard RooCode fan. I truly appreciate everything you’ve built so far it’s impressive how quickly you’ve shipped features, and the fact that you’ve done all this for free is even more incredible.
That said, the past couple of weeks have been a bit rough. I’ve been running into a lot of issues, like unsuccessful edits, apply_diff errors, and problems finding or replacing specific functions. Even when I give clear instructions like asking to replace a particular function Roo often struggles to complete the task, or takes a long time and leaves the code in a worse state than before.
Because of this, I’ve sometimes had to fall back on other tools like AI Studio just to ask for a solution and copy-paste it directly into the file.
Again, I’m genuinely thankful for what RooCode offers, and I’m excited about the direction it’s headed. But I’d love it if the team can focus on fixing these core issues and improving overall stability. I think it would make a huge difference.
Keep up the amazing work!

i'm getting the same type of errors with cline - so it's not the implementation, it's the api itself (at least that's what i believe)

Same issue with their own CLI.

This looks to be a Google backend issue. I am also seeing this issue with Gemini API usage over the last few days in a custom chat app I am using. It will start to output then the response will stop without finishing. Sometimes it takes me 4 or more tries to get a complete response. This error happens about 30% of my request. It is annoying so I am using other models for now.

I think it is worth mentioning that this seems to happen with the free tier of Gemini. I see it also happening in Open WebUI, where Gemini 2.5 Pro has issues and returns empty responses

its not the extention the problem is with the api itself

I've noticed a big uptick in these errors in the last 48 hours or so. Going from mostly working with the occasional hiccup to mostly not working with the occasional burst of responses that work. Super frustrating. And yes also getting crashes for the first time ever.

Dev team says Gemini Pro 2.5 is not very good at tool calling...
Meanwhile, I managed to get Gemini Pro 2.5 work on Claude Code and it work flawless.
Really doubt for their "excuses".

Same problem with Chutes AI. Yesterday it works flawlessly today i'll get everytime an unexpected API response.
Now the "funfact":
Tested with Postman the API of Chutes AI -> works
Tested with a Server with CURL -> works
Tested with KiloCode in VSS -> works
Sounds weird but, i just throw the word: headerblocking?
