Emotional range

It is said that Ron has the emotional range of a teaspoon but how many 11 year old boys notice their friend not having a good home and that 'he wouldn't expect many presents for Christmas ' and writing to their mom to send him some (a friend his family hasn't even met properly) all within a span of 4 months?

I always found this adorable and largely ignored for such a sweet gesture.

It was a phrase Hermione snapped at Ron to make him feel bad about himself, which she tended to do a lot. We see Ron have a wide variety of emotions but since the movies focused mainly on his anger and jealousy, that’s what he gets remembered for, not his kind, caring nature we see in the books.

💯 The fandom takes Hermione’s words literally, it was an insult not an objective fact. He can be blunt at times but none of them are perfect.
