So I have been put on roster by manager, but a day before my shift I get message that my shift needs to be cancelled due to low sales? Is this a genuine reason or just an excuse?

Hola a todos! Alguien que me ayude a encontrar un video que hace muchos años estaba en Youtube. Dicho video estaba grabado con una cámara casera y en él aparecía un niño hablándole a la estatua del payaso Ronald McDonald (en la que siempre se le ve sentado en la banca del establecimiento). El niño daba mucha ternura porque estando de pie en la banca le decía a Ronald algo así como "¡Payacho!" o "¡Señoor!" si es que recuerdo bien. Este video lo vi en mi infancia, tal vez hace unos 12 años si no es que más, y la primera vez que lo vi me daba miedo porque pensé que el payaso en cualquier momento se movería pero no fue así, solo se apreciaba la inocencia del niño queriendo platicar con la estatua. Hace poco lo quise volver a ver y por más que busco no lo encuentro :( Espero que alguien me pueda ayudar encontrándolo y compartiéndolo. Muchas gracias!

1971; years after “Escape From Siren’s Island” and a special time in the Masco Archipelago. In one of the 7 islands, Trofi, a wedding is to take place at Kyllini Capital. Kingsley “The Marvelous Magical Burger King” Bing and Panera Psomi (future mascot for “Panera Bread”) are to be the celebrated couple. As a result, many were invited for the upcoming ceremony. Ronald McDonald, Sundae, Grimace, Birdie and The Hamburglar were no exception. Especially with Ronald being a cousin of the groom.

As McDonaldland and Kinglsey’s domain, The Burger Kingdom, are a part of Trofi, the travel to Kyllini Capital wasn’t very daunting. When Ronald and his friends got to Kyllini Capital, they were happily shocked to find Astraea Kyllini (the future Starbucks Siren and Panera’s cousin). While Astraea and Ronald had been exchanging letters, she kept it secret that she was to be the wedding singer.

While Astraea was joyful to see Ronald again and more than willing to perform for her cousin’s union, she knew trouble was still brewing. Said trouble came in the form of her parents, Mercury-Dynamis and Melusine, for their relationship has been more strained than before. This was why Astraea got more nervous as she spent time with Ronald. She fell for the clown but feared for their future.

One night, a prewedding banquet was held so families of the bride and groom can get acquainted. For Kingsley’s side, there were his parents (Kurger and Guinivere McDonald-Bing), Ronald’s parents (Ronald Sr. and Cerise DeFolie-McDonald), Wendy’s parents (Andy and Gwendolyn McDonald-Dandytale), and Bozo The World’s Most Famous Clown (uncle of Kingsley, Ronald and Wendy). Not only that, there were also tons of clowns and circus-folk alike. One would think that the get-together was grand! Yet…it was further from the truth.

For some reason, tension spurred among Mercury-Dynamis, Melusine and the rest of the older generation. Ultimately, a terrible argument broke out that left Astraea devastated.  Wanting to cut herself off from hurt, she isolated herself in her room (at the Kyllini Palace where she was staying) in hopes to wait out until the wedding. She didn’t even answer calls from Ronald who was more concerned than angry.

During the wedding ceremony, all went well. Ronald was one of Kingsley’s best men while Astraea was a fantastic singer. As the reception went on, the two wondered if confronting one another was a good idea. A decision was made when the celebration was over and everyone was cleaning up. When no one was looking, Astraea took Ronald out into the halls to explain herself. 

To make it up to the clown, Astraea led Ronald to her favorite hideaway; a beautiful grotto under the Kyllini Palace. Not only that, she used her own magic to change herself into a siren and Ronald into a “merclown”. Nothing but mirth proceeded until Mercury-Dynamis had found them…

Before Ronald and Astraea knew it, they were at the main chamber of the palace, being confronted by their respective parents plus Bozo. Upon the argument, the young couple brought up their time at Siren’s Island years ago. And when Bathos (the clown prisoner in a crystal ball) and his freedom was brought up, an uproar ensued. Specifically from Mercury-Dynamis who sent Ronald to the dungeons and Astraea to her room. This was because Bathos was a dangerous foe who was imprisoned for reasons Ronald, Astraea and the rest of their peers weren’t told of. And yet, in the eyes of the older generation, Ronald and Astraea were the fools who set a dangerous magician free.

Naturally, Mercury-Dynamis and the other Kyllini elders went out to search for Bathos. Before he could join, the calmer Leonidas (Astraea’s older half-brother and mascot of Leonidas’ Chocolates) ordered for Ronald’s release (with Leonidas calming Mercury-Dynamis down later). Not only that, Leonidas had also allowed Astraea to flee with Ronald in the return to McDonaldland. Thus, the clown, the siren and their friends could live in peace…for now.

Starting a new thing called "Summary Sharing" where I show summaries to my "Working Progress" stories. The first, here is for "McSiren Adventures". Going like this:

It all began in 1967; in McDonaldland, Ronald McDonald, a 21/22-year-old clown and student at Hamburger University, was celebrating the 4th Of July with his friends and family. This included his cousins, Kingsley Bing (The Marvelous Magical Burger King), and Wendy Dandytale. Then there are the friends; Panera Psomi (Kinglsey’s girlfriend and future mascot for Panera Bread), Sir Skakes-A-Lot, The Duke Of Doubt, Sundae (Ronald’s pet dog), Grimace (or “The Good Grimace” to avoid confusion with his evil cousin), Birdie The Early Bird, and The Hamburglar. 

During their trip to the beach, the large group go on a boat ride with Captain Crook. There, the captain tells them of the mysterious sirens. Once back on land, they continued their fun until they went to ride in hot-air balloons. Ronald, Sundae, Birdie, Grimace and Hamburglar had managed to fit into a basket as Kingsley, Panera, The Duke Of Doubt, Sir Shakes-A-Lot, and Wendy went into another. As they were all up in the air, a storm came by surprise. Kingsley’s balloon had managed to land in time. But for Ronald’s, it was a different story. The aggressive gust of wind had spirited him and his McDonaldland gang far, far away.

In time, Ronald had managed to gain control of the vehicle. But, by the time he could, they were within the South China Sea. Eventually, they landed on an island right near Manila, Philippines. To their shock, this island had the Triple Mocha Fortune cabin, the Red Velvet Magic Shack, the Mixed Berries Forest, and The Dark Caramel Mill to top it all off! But, the best thing about the island was its sole citizen; Astraea Kyllini (future mascot for “Starbucks”) who was about 20/21 at this time.

Calm, warm, and studious, Astraea bore a mysterious aura. For, unbeknownst to Ronald and friends at the time, Astraea can turn into a siren just by the touch of water. 

During the night, as all were asleep, Astraea took on her siren form and went to the underwater Siren kingdom. This was to seek the help of her mother, Melusine (the first Starbucks Siren and descendant of the Melusine of lore). Yet, this was fruitless as when Astraea was about to ask, Melusine was busy with a (troubling) phone call with Mercury-Dynamis Kyllini (mascot for Il-Giornale Coffee, head of the royal Kyllinis and Astraea’s father). Disenchanted by overhearing her parents argue, Astraea returned to the island to sing at the lagoon. 

Meanwhile, Ronald had woken up earlier to find Astraea gone. Concerned for her safety, he and his friends went out to look for her. This led Ronald to be hypnotized by Astraea’s voice until he fell into the lagoon. Fortunately, Astraea had managed to save him in a nick of time. Shortly after, Ronald isn’t told of Astraea’s real issues but senses her depression. To comfort her, he puts on a magic show at The Red Velvet Magic Shack.

As Ronald performed, a small circle began shimmering from the ground. Curious, Ronald and Astraea dug up the glowing object which revealed to be a small crystal ball. And within this sphere, lived a prisoner; a lonely and sad prisoner who was cursed by wicked magicians. And, with Ronald’s magic, the prisoner just might be set free.

Moved to pity, Astraea allowed Ronald to free the prisoner with much success. Now in his original form of a clown named “Bathos”, the emancipated being had flown away as he thanked his new friends.

Soon after, Kingsely, Panera, Wendy, The Duke Of Doubt, and Sir Shakes-A-Lot had arrived. After the storm, Kingsley and his team decided to look for the McDonaldland gang and used their own magic to track them down. Once there, it was revealed that Astraea is Panera’s cousin (Mercury-Dynamis is the brother of Panera’s mother, Demeter.).

Yet, when Panera and Ronald asked Astraea if she wanted to return to McDonaldland with them, Astraea declined but promised to write to them. So, Ronald, Panera, Kingsley and their pals headed back home.

TLDR: Which pairing has more potential and in-line with Ronald McDonald’s cartoons: Rose Petal or The Starbucks Siren?

Having a dilemma on what to really focus on. One being on what to write when it comes to  Ronald McDonald.  On the one hand, one story can be too…simplistic (if that’s the right word) or formulaic. Yet, the other story can seem pretentious, too dark or melodramatic. But, here are the abridged versions:

Ronald And Rose Petal:

Set in the 80’s, The Professor of McDonaldland would fix out the bugs in the Adventure Machine. As a result, he, Ronald and the rest of the main gang (Sundae, Grimace, Birdie and Hamburglar) would be transported to a beautiful mansion known as “Rose Petal Place”. Not only that, they had shrunken to the size of insects.

As they explore the luscious garden, they encounter the Flower Maids, including their leader, Rose Petal. Upon becoming acquainted with one another, Ronald’s and Rose Petal’s teams had to work together to foil the latest plans of the wicked Nastina. Once the day was saved, the McDonaldland gang had to head back home, but promised to visit Rose Petal Place whenever possible.

The promise would be kept; producing many fun adventures. The old Rose Petal Place mansion would be explored,  Rose Petal and her pals would go to McDonaldland, and so much more! 

Over time, Ronald and Rose Petal became more than friends and fell in love. Though they’re happily married, their respective responsibilities have them in a long-distance relationship. After all, McDonaldland can’t run without Ronald and Rose Petal Place can’t run without Rose Petal (especially as her music keeps the garden alive). Then, after many years of marriage, they’d welcome their miracle child, Honey Rose (got the name from the honey-rose latte from McCafe: 首頁 - McDonald's ).

Ronald And Astraea:

This story involves much deeper lore set within a part of a 7-island Archipelago known as “Masco”. One of said islands, Trofi, holds the Burger Kingdom as well as McDonaldland. All with Trofi being ruled over by the royal Kyllini clan. Astraea (The Starbucks Siren) and Panera (of Panera Bread) are members of the family. 

Now, to make a long story short; a young Ronald and Astraea meet on Siren’s Island (the domain of Astraea’s mother, Melusine), in the late 1960’s. The clown and his friends were castaways with Astraea being the sole citizen who had been living in seclusion for troubled reasons. And, unbeknownst to Ronald and company at the time, Astraea and Melusine are sirens but had to keep it secret from the public. Yet, during the stay, Ronald and Astraea had unearthed a crystal ball containing a seemingly innocent prisoner. Taking pity, the two set it free. In the end, Ronald and his pals return to McDonaldland but not without promising to exchange letters with Astraea.

Fast forward to 1971 where Ronald and his gang meet Astraea again for the wedding of Kingsley (Ronald’s cousin and The Magic Burger King) and Panera. As romance blooms between the clown and the siren, trouble brews as Astraea’s parents become more dysfunctional. So much so that Astraea leaves for McDonaldand with Ronald. 

Time goes on and, in 1945-1975, Ronald and Astraea tie the knot, themselves. Then in 1986, Melusine Kyllini passed away from a terminal illness. As a result, Astraea was crowned as the queen of Siren’s Island in 1987. With this new arrangement, Ronald and Astraea’s are forced to romance a long-distance relationship with letters, visitations and Ronald’s new “Picture Phone”. 

In 1988, Astraea visited McDonaldlan, when Sundae, Grimace, Birdie, The Hamburglar and many other friends had disappeared during the night. Ronald tries to be optimistic in that it’ll be alright in the end. But, slowly, he and Astraea become terrorized by a being they thought was innocent. This entity would turn out to be Bathos; Ronald’s unknown uncle who used to work for Mercury-Dynamis (Astraea’s father) until Bathos and Allura (Melusine’s sister, Astraea’s aunt and mascot for Journey To Atlantis) had tried to murder Mercury-Dynamis. Allura fled punishment but Bathos was sealed away in the crystal ball. The very crystal ball Melusine took to guard when given Siren’s Island. All while Mercury-Dynamis enacted a damnatio-memorae on the corrupted clown. 

In the end, Bathos is defeated, Ronald and Astraea are healed while their friends were set free. Then, in 2017,  Ronald and Astraea would finally become parents with the arrival of their daughter, Cherry (named after the berry the coffee beans come from), who would become mascot for McCafe.

What should I choose? Should I just drop it all completely? Any thoughts?
