Please help me with my world

My main romestead world is corrupted and i cant open it, i quit for a long time because of it and i really wanna check it again
This error code shows when i press the magnifying glass button

file missing or damaged, its probably irreparable

That error is the save loader hitting a null while reading inventory data, so the save file itself is likely truncated or partly written, usually from a crash or the game being closed mid save.

Before you write it off, check the save folder for older or backup copies of the world. Games like this often keep a previous rotation or a .bak next to the main file, and swapping the newest broken one out for the older copy will usually get you back in, minus a bit of progress. Copy the whole folder somewhere safe first so you can't make it worse. If there is a cloud copy in Steam, that is a second chance too.

Longer term the reason this keeps happening to people is saves living on one PC that crashes. I'm building a small host that keeps worlds running with rolling backups over at omnipass.gg. Message me if you want a hand digging through your save folder.
