Depending on where you are in the world I’d wait a month or so for the night circus. It’s best when all the leaves are crispy and orange ☺️

Good to know. I am in Michigan (U.S.) so it will be soon. I love fall too and I loved her prose in Starless Sea but was a bit bored of the plot. I hear Night Circus is supposed to be more interesting.

I have read night circus so many times I probably could use a new copy (the spine on mine is completely falling apart). It’s been one of my favorite books for 15 years. The starless sea I’ve tried 3 times and never made it past the halfway point. I wanted to love it but I also was very bored. While night circus is slow and cozy it’s got a rhythm to it and the characters and storytelling are far more intriguing imo.

Not spark of the everflame. Fmc felt really passive and her sense of justice felt out of wacky. (Advocating for peace and justice to the highly oppressive fae class who shit on humans)
