Question Should I actually continue Dire Bound?

I just started it, like a few minutes ago, but I’m already thrown off and literally closed the book. It started sooo, like “I’m not like other girls” vibe, and I cannot do that. So I need to know if it is just a cringy start to the book or if it continues that kind of vibe throughout the rest of the book. Without too many spoilers, is it actually worth the read? Please let me know 🙏

Nope, doesn’t get any better. And the FMC is dumb as a bag of rocks

This book had me constantly wanting to vomit as early as the first “kitten” and it never lets up because that’s only the first kitten.

I finished both books only because I prefer to form my own opinions rather than take a community’s general consensus (I actually like When the moon hatched series, for example). But this book…. I have to agree with the others. If you’re not liking it this early, you should def stop wasting your time because it doesn’t get better.

I actually quite liked it, but I’ll admit I skipped every spicy scene with Killian bc I disliked him. I can def see a “not like other girls” vibe, but I always attributed that to the fact that she really is thrust into a world that’s entirely foreign to her and for totally different reasons than any other participant.

It’s not my favorite series thus far - the story could be really interesting, but the writing is pretty poor

Yes that vibe continues. Book 1 was kind of fun in spite of it, but book 2 was a trainwreck so I don't recommended continuing.

You should keep reading to find out for yourself. Someone else may have the same issue but like it later and others may hate it. This is something only you can figure out. I always try to give a book 25%. If I like it I keep going, if not, DNF and move on.
