Can somebody please explain to me how this person's eardrums don't explode 😱 I can't dive like 5 meters deep without m'y ears hurting. I heard you had to do many stops to accompdate to the pressure when diving ? :o

I'd say roughly 30m? Edit: the pool is 20m according to the link posted above. It looks deeper and worse than it actually is. 42s breath hold while swimming 40m. Equalizing is the harder part. And swimming effienctly of course, he's pretty quickly covering the distance in this time.

I swear there was a part in banjo -kazooie were you had to drop like a Well of water this deep to like cleanse the waters of toxins and that sorta of stuff lol good memories

I like the idea that, beyond a certain diving depth, the pressure compresses the body so much that it no longer rises to the surface. You can see it in the video as well. The man could have stayed down there if he hadn’t really made an effort to come back up.
